A solemn group stood in the shadow of the statehouse in Columbus, Ohio, forming a circle on the snow-caked sidewalk. MarShawn McCarrel, 23, a well-known Black Lives Matter activist, had taken his own life on the statehouse steps. Now his friends had come together in his memory...

One of the saddest ironies of the Civil Rights movement is the "progressive" segregation of minorities. Soon after the successes of the 1960s desegregation efforts, the (white liberals) Democrat party soon realized they could lose this constituency if they actually prospered and assimilated into mainstream society. So after the Civil Rights victories of the '60s, "anti-poverty" programs were created not to lift-out but to keep in a constant state of dependency, a mindset of siege and always being told they are oppressed by "unseen forces" (and Republicans... who's overwhelming support passed the Civil Rights laws). This re-segregation is strictly enforced (in schools, neighborhoods and popular culture) as any minorities who leave the new liberal "plantations" (Dr. Carson, Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice and others) are fiercely attacked as "not down for the struggle" and "traitors to their race". This government dependency has become not a "safety net" nor is it a "hammock"... it's a PRISON with small chance of escape!

A high proportion of “activists” for anything are psychologically troubled people. They are attracted to movements like this (for any political orientation).

Just like homeless advocate Mitch Synder who claimed millions of homeless people in the 80’s. Made all the talk shows. 1990 census came out and there were count by our government some 300,000. He too committed suicide. When your lie is exposed, its time. It's time.

From what I’ve seen of the BLM movement, not many of them matter to me. Just a bunch of thugs wanting to murder, rape & rob without consequences.

Exactly how well-known can a 23 y.o. street thug be?

Yep. All this “movement” is about is trying to gain the “right” to commit crime with impunity and immunity.

Been reading the Second City Cop blog-it’s already biting then”activists” in the azz big-time. Guess whose doing the killing? Fellow “activists. Guess who they have to call when this happens. Those awful, mean, rayciss cops. Cops are staying fetal-the ACLU has become a quasi-governmental arm.
Hey, it’s only just what BLM, the revruns, and the “community” claimed they wanted.

MarShawn McCarrel, an agitator in the "Black Lives Matter" gang, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the steps of the Ohio Statehouse. If only we could deny the Negro access to guns, and impose long prison sentences for membership in criminal gangs without probation or parole, and require reeducation, restitution, remorse, apology and public confession of guilt before rehabilitation to supervised citizenship, then we could save some black lives.

OMG!!!! That activist killed an unarmed black man!!! Time for a riot!!!!. Oh, wait, black on black crime, never mind.
To: FiddlePig
If black lives mattered to blacks as much as they do to whites the Negro might have a chance. But as the leading cause of death in the black community is abortion, I am not holding my breath.

You are correct.
And it’s institutionalized into generations now. Only a hard break from the cycle will help anyone.

Snyder didn’t off himself over stats.
He offed himself over a lawsuit filed against him by fellow progressives over the conditions in the shelter he ran.
