Scalia obviously enjoyed the “good life”.... the best foods, wine, a good smoke. He was way overweight too. If he’d have taken better care of himself we might have gotten another 10 years from him.

It was the owner who, according to the report, said he and Scalia’s friend did not see him at breakfast at 8:30 prior to going out for a short hunt. Came back 3 hours later, and then let himself into the room where he found the Judge, peaceful, in bed with a “pillow over his head” (this is poor description, adding to the “story”) and the bed covering “not wrinkled” whatever that would mean.
Being a Veteran, would think the owner might have an idea what was and wasn’t an unnatural death. Your point is well taken.

Heart attack would have woken him up. When somebody dies in their sleep with no previous complaints it is almost always cardiac arrhythmia. In such a case the cause would be recent heart surgery (which Scalia did not have) or exposure to arrhythmia-inducing chemicals.
IOW, poisoning is a reasonable guess at what killed him, given his serene appearance when found, the absence of any complaints before or after he went to bed, and the absence of recent heart surgery which is the “natural” cause for cardiac arrhythmia in such a case.
And don’t you DARE accuse me of ignoring the nefarious things of this regime. If you knew half of what I know about what this regime has done you would go absolutely nuts, because you would never believe it.
