Well, Squishy Hewitt finally gets something right.

Any Senator that does not hold the line and block this nomination deserves to be removed from office.

I’d love to see Trump start a new party if that happens. He could invite any R who cares about the country to join him rather than continuing to belong to and vote for the D/R uniparty. He could probably get a lot of Ds too.

That’s a big problem with nominating Trump people aren’t talking about yet. If he actually attracts a lot of moderates and independents to the polls, they’re not going to vote for the Republican senators. So if loyal Republicans stay home, or even if they show up, Trump could win but Republicans could still lose the Senate. Then we’ll have Trump cutting deals with the Dems directly.

New guys can run as indies for each R Senator who doesn’t uphold the blockade. Those new guys need to start now: this is a unique disaster requiring unique solutions.

He is, but he’s smart enough to realize that confirming this nomination is political suicide.

For ALL of them.

The GOP will cease to have any use as a political party.

I have no doubt that McCain, being the vindictive bastard that he is would do just that. Coats is retiring, so is Rubio and Vitter. I don’t think Vitter would betray us, not sure about the other two.

Harvard Law’s Charles Ogletree: Obama Should “Right Away” Nominate A “Woman Of Color” To Fill Scalia’s Seat....

SHARPTON: “Now in your opinion, should the seat be filled as soon as possible by President Obama?”

OGLETREE: “I think that President Obama should fill the seat. I know Republicans are having fits and I’m sure I’ll get negative press about this, but he should have the opportunity, as any president has, to appoint the successor, and that should be a woman, I think, a woman of color, I think, and there are a lot of people, and I won’t mention names because I don’t want to in a sense prevent anybody from being appointed, but I think President Obama should appoint somebody right away, and somebody who will fill that seat, and there will be five Democrats appointed by President Obama on the Supreme Court.”

Barf alert:

Obama’s Supreme Court short list

The president has a chance to make a big statement with his pick to replace Scalia.

Loretta Lynch

Loretta Lynch, 56, has served as Obama’s attorney general for less than a year, after her nomination got caught up in partisan wrangling in the Senate. Senators on both sides agreed that the disputes had little to do with her and she doesn’t seem to have engendered the same anger from the GOP that her predecessor, Eric Holder, produced.

This is a pointless discussion about a meaningless vote.

Will the Republicans in the senate approve an Obama candidate? Of course not.

Will it matter? Of course not. Obama will wait for the summer recess and make a recess appointment.

I typically call and write...then write again several day increments. Puts my mind at ease for the fact...at least I'm doing something.

I hate...I mean hate that we have to call and write these pukes and almost begg’m to do the write thing. Pretty sad we cannot be confident that they will without intervention from us.

This is what we get now dayz. RINO’s. Squishy republicans that say one thing, do another when they get to D.C..

I believe Loveable Lindsey Graham is the only one certain to back the Obama nominee at this point, but I would think another half dozen can be easily recruited.

and then hillery, biden, sanders or maybe even still obama gets the pick? Cause if the establishment decks Trump and the hard right rightist one looses...that will surely be the case. Just so odd that in my life time so many conservatives are dying young and old and all the asshole leftist communist, socialist are alive and well...even if they some dope and do butt holes ...it doesn’t seem to rein down on them!
