Mark Zuckerberg is flanked by 16 bodyguards — at home

One booming business in Silicon Valley is security — but not the digital kind.

Insiders tell Page Six that the young tech billionaires are forced to hire armies of guards after threats from unstable users [emphasis mine].

Thus is the current dynamic. Those who want more government want it for selfish purposes.

Zuckerberg is already an internet celebrity and his bodyguards are nobodies.

“Sure hope he vets them fully, and pays them very well.”

It won’t matter.

Qaddhafi had an estimated personal fortune of $200 billion. He had a hand-picked personal praetorian guard. In addition, he had hired and armed his personal southern mercenary army, including experienced and battle-tested South African mercenaries.

In a bit over four weeks, his entire empire crumbled, despite paying billions for armed “protection.” All that protection money couldn’t buy him a simple plane seat away from deadly trouble and out of Libya.

If people are out to get you, armed bodyguards, even entire divisions of them, won’t matter.

And he is the same guy who swindled his classmates out of the Facebook computer programs they developed.

You could but I doubt that very many Farcebookers would get it. Leftists don’t get irony much so when I tell them that zuckerberg is now reaping the bitter crop of his own making it would go right over his head. Likewise for his unintentionally uniting unlikely allies - in opposition to his drama-queen enterprise.

As for me, I had an account with zero personal information beyond the very limited number of people I had as friends. The fact that they couldn’t data-mine me was probably my first strike. I mostly used it for casual correspondence with family. I made the critical mistake of speaking out against a local business that was being harassed by (of all people) militant vegans. Honestly, all I said was “If you don’t like their business (a specialty butcher shop) shop elsewhere”. The next thing I know my membership has been pulled.

So, yea - I got my butt kicked by vegans! As for Farcebook - don’t need ‘em, don’t use ‘em, and I hope he (zuckerberg) has (shudder) tax problems. That’ll fix his wagon!

Is this the same guy who wants to take away guns from the rest of us?

His policy is ‘Only the elites deserve protection’? What a jerk ... what a jerk.

He’s like Albert Speer but without the suave tailoring.

Nah. More like the Judenrat of Warsaw, who turned other Jews over to the Germans for deportation to the death camps.

And then, eventually, it became their own turn.
