Done. Started during the OJ trial. I have actually met a few people who have also opted out of TV and movies. Some of them were surprises as they did not seem particularly conservative.

For many years I was entirely incapable of understanding how seemingly normal people could pack Jews off to death camps, but with acquaintance of creatures such as this my political education is, sadly, widening. I read a little more than I did, mostly technical stuff.
Rarely go to a movie. I had to be talked on Star Wars.
Other than ME-TV and TCM, I watch very little regular TV.
Mostly I play old jeep mechanic and run classic old time radio instead.
FYI, Bill Bryson who wrote A Walk in the Woods (a hilariously funny book by the way) is a big liberal in the Emma Thompson mold. He recently became a UK citizen.
