Do we really want to appoint a 67 year old? I don’t think we should have anyone over 50. Scalia was 50 when he was appointed and we got close to 30 years of his brilliance. With Janice we might only have 10 years at most and God only knows who the President will be then.
If that person hasn't lost any mental acuity and is in good physical shape, why not? We'd probably be better off if the SC were populated with elders with a lifetime of wisdom and experience, and who won't be there for 20 years or more.
Look at this SC. We hear about all of the friendships with each other and socializing with the DC and other elite. That has to have an effect on decision making. If justices were older when nominated, more frequent turnover would keep the clubbiness aspect in check.
Roberts was young not enough of a record and LOOK what the hell happened!!! Obamacare is one of the worst rulings EVER!!!!

I agree 100 percent on nominating a younger jurist! Like you said Scalia was 50 when nominated and gave almost 30 years of conservative service!
