What gets me is:
Why can’t we have a candidate who is a kick@$$ conservative governor, who was born here, to US citizen parents?
Is that too much to ask?
And yer dam two hunnert Larri

We need someone who will get down in the mud and the blood and the beer to fight to win and beat the Dems at their own game. A perfect example of this effete mentality is the contrasting way Cruz would handle Hillary's attacks on the GOP's War on Women versus the Trump approach:
Ted Cruz says he wonât use former President Bill Clintonâs political liabilities against Democratic presidential contender and former first lady Hillary Clinton.
"I am not interested in getting into personal attacks and innuendo," he said Tuesday at a news conference in Cisco. "Hillary Clinton's biggest liability is that her policies are a disaster."
New York businessman Donald Trump, the front-runner in the Republican race for president, has used Twitter to black Bill Clinton as abusive to women.
"If Hillary thinks she can unleash her husband, with his terrible record of women abuse, while playing the women's card on me, she's wrong!" Mr. Trump said Monday via Twitter.
Cruz is mimicking previous GOP campaigns like McCain and Romney who would not go after Obama personally. They unilaterally disarmed. Trump will not and he has a much broader appeal than any GOP candidate since Reagan. He is the candidate the Dems fear the most. It is why his name and his name only comes up during the Dem debates.
The Reps have lost the popular vote in five out of the last six elections, including Obama receiving the two highest vote totals in history. The GOP is a dying party, in numbers and ideology. The rapidly changing demographics of this country fueled by mass immigration and minority birthrates will make the Dems the permanent majority party. If the GOP loses the WH in 2016, it is the end of the party and the country as we know it. We need a candidate outside the political class who will do whatever is necessary to win and I mean whatever is necessary. We are in a life and death struggle.
Speaking of Rove, did anyone watch Sharyl’s Full Measure?
I called that segment “Frogins and Messina” (You know, William Rivers Pitt over on DU promising that Rove would be “Frog-marched in handcuffs” over the Plame affair....)
Anyway, I hope Sharyl doesn’t continue to have these two turd blossoms on again.
You are right. People vote the pocket book.
“we may term you F.Chuck II!”
Ok, I know when I have been insulted :)
If the Senate caves to Obama, Republicans could lose the Senate.
Rrrrun! Get to da choppa! Get to da choppa!
I need to watch me some “Ahnold” today!
Obama must have something on Lindsey.
I think you have hit it on teddy the cruzer.
Don’t make this personal, please Steve.
I pointed out Cruz’s lies in an earlier post. The 2nd Amendment written out of the Constitution? Has Cruz lost his mind or is he just a liar?
I really do not think you can characterize DanZ as GOP elite! Attack the message, not the messenger.
“I am from Greenville SC area and was really ashamed by the behavior of that audience last night”
-—I’m in Columbia SC and can’t believe that was a SC audience! That crowd was not representative of SC at all
Maine was originally settled by the French, who were driven out by English speaking interests. (See: Evangaline-Longfellow)
Additionally it is full of the descendants of French-Canadians (Quebecois) who moved here in droves, seeking employment in the factories and mills. I like them, they are decent hard working people...All American!
(but some speak wit dat French accident dere)
Pretty good analysis, the stakes dont get much bigger.
How tough does it look in the Senate? I hate the thought that we might loose the senate.
Glad to hear you say that! The thinking is that it was full of paid donors for bush.?Does that make sense?
CRuz has gone full Pinocchio. His credibility is completely shot.
I guess he realized that Trump’s past positions - which have changed, just like REeagan’s (and many other’s have) - don’t matter to Trump’s base/conservatives, so he’s moved on to telling full fledged fibs :(
1. I enjoyed both the picture and the Tom Jones reminder. Tom Jones was one of my favorites, back in the day
“Your reaction is so typical of the GOP elite who decry the rough and tumble of politics. “
I would very much enjoy to have the money of the GOP Elite you label me as. Are you a Pincko? - I do not think so and yet you persist.
“Trump didn’t call anyone a “pussy.” He repeated something from a woman in the audience.”
the fact that Trump supports see no issue with his nastiness and yet howl with outrage screaming that Senator Cruz is lying, reminds me very much of the Bush 1 / Perot election cycle. We had the same level of nastiness on FR back than as well
The GOP is a dying party, in numbers and ideology. - Yes, please, it is well past time for a new party that is in favor of the Constitution AND a LIMITED Federal G’ment
