He qualified his "support" of Planned Parenthood by explicitly excluding support of its abortions. No harm in being fair. He was wrong about G.W.Bush's "lies" about Iraq. His supporters do not think he is right about everything. Neither is every other candidate. He is right about many other issues (need they all be listed now?) that override his shortcomings. It's as simple as that.
Trump is right about the good things PP does...if he could totally strip them of their abortion business and leave in place the other things, it would be good for woman....especially the less affluent women that really do use those services.
This is a better approach than shutting them down and then trying to put something else in place...they have the buildings, the people in place and women seeking those services are comfortable going there.....just no abortions

Trump was the only one who said it was important to protect women’s health issues while stopping the funding of abortion. His answer was realistic, and as a result probably satisfies next to no one.
And if Trump said, "I support CAIR except for their support of Islamic terrorists" would you think that was OK too?

If Trump really said that aside from abortions, he supports Planned Parenthood, then he’s brilliant.
PP falls apart without the abortion revenue. Dude can come out as pro-life, extoll the virtues of affordable care for female reproductive rights, and know the position is untenable for PP, and further know that they can’t come after Trump after saying he supports them.

Good response. My sentiments exactly. This is one case where Trump is smart in deflecting the accusation about Planned Parenthood by stating a fact that the do some good things and he appreciates those, but not abortion.
The same could be said about various religions in history: Some have some very good aspects, but then there are a lot of terrible aspects.
Trump is just being factual. That won him points in the debate and maybe won him some Democrap and Independents in the Middle. Remember: Trump has to win the middle to beat Hitlery or Bummer Sanders. He won’t get a lot of Evangelicals. So the battle is for the middle.
