In a perfect world, we would wait. However, given the current role of the court, the stakes are too high.

So you would allow Obama to make a lifetime appointment to SCOTUS and ensure a liberal majority? You can then expect the court cases on the docket to go the way of the Dems. Good thinking.

Forget about the perfect world. We are talking about the real world.

I was unclear. I was referring to the discussion.

In a perfect world we could wait to have this discussion. Secure in the knowledge that our President would fulfill his Constitutional duty.

However we are in the real world. Our President is committed to expanding government and twisting the Constitution into a pretzel. So we have to have this conversation now, before Justice Scalia is even laid to rest.

It is sad, but a symptom of our times.
