Trump ‘Very Close to One of the Most Astonishing Political Victories in American History’
Breitbart ^ | February 13,2014 | Conrad Black

Posted on 02/13/2016 1:55:27 PM PST by Hojczyk

If his opponents in the Republican party want any chance of stopping him, they will have to coalesce around one of the alternatives right after South Carolina, and that candidate will be an underdog. Mr. Trump should win the nomination, and Mr. Clinton should limp to a listless and cliched victory at the head of her fatigued party.

Mr. Trump still faces a high but porous wall of anyone-but-Trump sentiment, slightly more numerous than the anyone-but-Clinton bloc. He should move soon to dissolve this antagonism by speaking more seriously and precisely, and in finished sentences, and showing that he is, in all but his presentational flamboyance, a moderate.

Shame on the New York Daily News for referring to his followers as the brain dead and on the Huffington Post for its scurrilous attack on him as a racist, sexist demagogue. He is none of that and his followers are too numerous and righteously angry at those who have failed the nation to be so disparaged, especially by such lowbrow outlets.

Now is Donald Trumps chance to defeat and humiliate that sentiment by behaving with exemplary dignity, modesty, and precision, as he has waxed the floor with the elders of the Republican party and stolen much of the old Roosevelt-Truman-Kennedy coalition among working and middle-class Democrats.

The author called Hillary “Mr.” Clinton. Freudian slip?

I'm not sure who you are referring to. I am a frequently posting Cruz supporter, rarely have bad things to say about Trump, and am willing to give him credit when due. We have to stick together as one-two to lock out the Establishment, and join forces after the nomination. The passing of Justice Scalia is a reminder that we cannot have a Dem or a lightweight this time around.

My position exactly. My picks are 1.) Cruz and 2.) Trump and nobody else. This internecine piling on accompishes nothing.

Trumps has a bullet proof welded bond with millions of his American supporters. It’s historic and not seen in modern America. You’d have to dial back to the founders to see this type of relationship between a leader and the people.

So he came in a respectable 2nd in Iowa, blew out NH and is leading in double digits in SC without conservative support?

No one else will actually fight Clinton, and if she wins, we can kiss our country good-bye, it will become just another 3rd World dung heap, with the wealthy internationalists sucking it dry.

The Trump for POTUS outcome is a total no brainer. Anyone with half a functioning brain, realizes that Donald J. Trump is the “ONLY” candidate that attracts voters from all points of political views!!! Why? Because they all have one thing in common....they want, more then anything else, to save these United States of America from destruction by both the Democrat & Republican Estblishment political parties. It is as simple as that!!

Both major political parties, first, need to by totally wiped out politically, and then reoganized from their current status...as the useless politicians and American haters they are!!!

If the GOP nominates Cruz, Bush, Kasich, Rubio, they all will lose the general in a landslide. If Donald J. Trump is denied the GOP nomination...millions of Trump supporters will either vote for the Democrat Party or stay home and not vote at all!!! Both John McCain & Mitt Romney lost the POTUS to Obama ....not because Obama won,.....but because so many disgruntled GOP voters sat on their hands and did not even vote in 2008 & 2012!!! Why? Because McCain & Romney were “class “A” whimps”!!! McCain kept telling us what a good man Obama is, and Romney let CNNs Candy Crowley shove him around like he was a bad schoolboy....two complete losers!!! You Pubbies out there better wake up, real quick....hanging in with the GOP (E) pack will lead only to defeat and the loss of our once great country!!!

No - open borders, free trading “conservatives” don’t support him.

If that’s your definition of “conservative”, you are correct.

We had all better pray to our God that when the SHTF someone like Trump is at the helm and holds this country together. Right now I see no one, zero, including odumbo or his ilk, that would be able to save us EXCEPT Trump who is action not talk. Trump may not be the “greatest” but in todays U.S. he may be the choice we NEED, while all the others are just talkers, plain and simple.

I will absolutely never vote for any democrat, in any race, for ANYTHING.

I never have, and I never will.

It’s either Trump or Cruz.

Vulgar and obscene? Clearly you’ve never worked on a factory floor or graced the drill fields of boot camp. When you visit the real world, let us know.

Real men aren’t pantywaist Obama types.
