Isn’t defining conservatism pivotal at this point? Is it that you know you are going to vote for a compromise candidate and are okay with that but you don’t want others to know on this site? Maybe you won’t admit to yourself that by being a single-issue voter you have become what you despise on the other side? I dunno. I’m just looking for a candidate that reflects my political viewpoint.
I’ll start. Here’s conservative ideal number 1.
Mr. Government, leave me alone and let me pursue happiness without your interference.
No, and focusing on that sort of label is counterproductive. Talk issues and outcomes, not labels.
