They implored him to think about the Holy Spirit. They explained that the First Amendment is about freedom of speech and the Second is about the right to bear arms, and said that they were in that order for a reason. They asked him what he thought Jesus would have done in his situation. He, in turn, asked for pizza and marijuana.
In the final moments, it all came down to one troubled young man and the exhaustive attempts by two of his ideological sympathizers to get him to surrender peacefully and end the occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
"I'm actually feeling suicidal now," said David Fry, 27, of Ohio, the only one of the four remaining protesters who refused to leave the wildlife sanctuary on Thursday morning. "I will not go another day a slave to the system. I'm a free man. I will die a free man."
On Thursday, about 9:30 a.m. local time, three of the last four occupiers left their encampment at the refuge. [snip]
On Thursday, after his companions left, Mr. Fry spoke about his disillusionment with his fellow occupiers, with the Americans who did not join the occupation, with the banking system, with international wars and with the fact that "all those Pakistani children" had been "drone striked."
Ms. Hall tried to appeal to his ego. "Don't you want them to have to listen to you?" she said of the F.B.I. and of the world in general. When that did not work, she tried a caring tone. [snip]
In the end, Mr. Fry did sit up, rising and walking toward a scrum of officials. "One more cookie, one more cigarette," he said, just before leaving his hide-out. "Alrighty then."

If I were his lawyer, I'd ask for a psych evaluation.
Delusional, like all Cliven Bundy supporters. Listening to the live feed, I do not know what I laughed at harder. David crying for more weed, or the playing of the bagpipes during the surrender.
Goop from the commie NY TIMES.
Was all this on the live feed? I have no trouble believing this guy was troubled but I don’t trust the NYT to tell me that.

I don’t think freedom includes the right to trespass.
I’m glad he surrendered and kudos to Bundy or whoever talked him down.
In the end, he had more sense than Lavoy Linicum.
Tens of millions of illegal aliens trespassers we’re all forced paying hundreds of billions for, are laughing their asses off.

Wow.
Yeah, hilarious....
It was pretty sad, sort of every weird conspiracy thing we joke about. This guy definitely has some strange stuff trapped in his head.
Too bad this Cruz voter won’t be able to vote from jail.
I think he was experiencing a bad case of the I don’t want to go to the slam at the end.
A little late to think of it then...
If you would like more information about what's happening in Oregon, please FReepmail me.
I lost my Oregon list when my computer crashed last year, so please send me your name by FReepmail if you want to be on this list.
Sadly, he's spot on!
There will be no revolution as long as so called braggadocio "patriots" have jobs that are paying for their home mortgages, their payments on their new F-150's, their boats and various RV's and soccer, football and baseball practices to attend with their kids...........
Maybe next week.........
Thanks.
