Mark has said numerous times he wants a new Republican Party, but he never says how or who will bring it about or what its policies will be.
The call for a new R Party makes for good soundbites, but that is about all. He decries any attempt to create or build a 3rd party.
A new Republican Party certainly can’t/won’t be built from inside the existing Republican Party. Goldwater didn’t/couldn’t. Reagan didn’t/couldn’t.
So, how does it come into existence?
The GOP establishment are certainly not going to give up their control of the existing Republican Party.
Trump is not saying anything but “It’s Going to be GREAT!” “It’s going to be FANTASTIC” “Believe me” “We’re going to take care of everyone” “This isn’t very conservative of me, but...” “I’m going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it” “The good ones can come back”....”I’m going to make great deals”...
Plus a lot of smears and expletives.
