If conservatism is your bag, if conservatism is the dominating factor in how you vote, there is no other choice for you in this campaign than Ted Cruz, because you are exactly right: This is the closest in our lifetimes we have ever been to Ronald Reagan.

I listen to Rush as an analyst, someone who discusses the hot topics of the day.
I don’t hear “endorsements” I hear objective commentary both pro and negative on all candidates.
It’s a shame so many here are so tainted by looking for angles (knee jerking) instead of just listening and actually hearing and contemplating what is being said. It is after all, just one mans opinion

Cruz cannot be trusted considering:
- His support of Obamatollah’s TPA
- Corker’s Iranian Nukes + $150 BILLION to help spread terrorism
- Amnesty via “Pathway to Citizenship”
- His dubious dishonesty of GoldmanSachs & CitiBank “loans”
- Nixonian dirty tricks in Iowa
...and his weak, p***y “innerness” to stand up to evil (i.e. afraid to state water boarding or worse should be used on the evil of islam)
Then there’s that Canadian anchor baby thing...

I’m a perfect conservative. Cruz is perfect conservative. We are endorsed by Jesus. You are all bad people and stupid. Did I mention Cruz is perfect, and you are stupid?
I guess my problem this cycle is that it’s not my only priority. Defeating the GOPe(elected and un-elected pundits), Doner Class, RAT’s, and Media elites is a very high priority for me this year. That trumps (no pun intended) conservative thoroughbred (which Cruz is) for me. Love Cruz, but I don’t think he can win the General. Would love to be proven wrong and will happily vote for him if he’s the nominee. I’m leaning toward joining the middlefinger to all the aforementioned vote on SEC Tue at this point.
The federal governments constitutionally limited powers are my priority.
Somebody please send me a message the first time that Rush mentions Congresss constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.
It’s not a complete picture that Rush throws out there.
It must be the most conservative who can also win.
The primary season will tell us which one can win. They both must stay in until the end.
If someone can’t win the republican primary, then they can’t win the election. That’s not a failsafe view, but it makes more sense than some flash poll or someone’s opinion.
I’ll take Cruz or Trump before ANY of the rest.

But Trump, who went to expensive private schools, went to Wharton, got his start with a few million from his dad, has ties to big business, big banking, national political figures from both parties, media connections, is worth a few billion, does business with Soros and Buffet, etc - HE can play the "anti-elitist" card?

You need to tell Trump that because Trump says he’s considering Cruz for VP.

I understand that religion is the one which currently has a large number of folks which are radical, but why would you do something so insane?
Wouldn’t it be more effective to target oh.. maybe countries specifically which are supporting Isis/the enemy?
