...."I would get China to make that guy disappear in one form or another very quickly," Trump said on "CBS This Morning."
Host Norah O'Donnell asked whether Trump is calling for Kim Jong-un's assassination.
Trump shrugged, "Well, I've heard of worse things frankly."
He adds: "China has control, absolute control over North Korea...And they should make that problem disappear."..

Are those Trump’s words?
Why don’t you interpret.
I would have looked Nasty Norah right in the eyes, got up in her face, and just said ... "Do you have a problem with that?"
And if she said anything other than "No" ... I would remind her that Obie Wan didn't capture Osama Bin Laden alive ...
Yep, exactly....oh the horrors
He was only pointing out that Jong and Putin are strong leaders. Unlike our own. He never said he liked their policies.
You are truly desperate to drag out sound bites.
Foreign policy du jour.
?
What was Trump trying to say when he was praising the North Korean dictator?

For at least awhile there, NORKs in the countryside were eating grass and, sometimes, apparently, girl babies.
Trump was the ONLY candidate to use the China connection to deal with North Korea playing with missiles. He’s the only one with the vision to understand the big picture of what influences North Korea.
He will be a remarkable statesman.
you know what happens when YOU assume ....
DT could no more go back into the stans alone than W could.
Let’s have a baby, I’m hungry.
‘madman’ and ‘nutjob’ must not mean what you think they mean ...
I’m a person that reads lots of history.
I marvel at how lots of these people managed to obtain power against the odds. Give them a lot of credit for the skill they had to do it.
That doesn’t mean I love people like Caesar or Napoleon and want to be like them.
It means you take them seriously.
Be that as it may, should Trump be making “disappear” comments (you can suspend Trump’s praise for the NK dictator only a month ago to uncomplicate this mess of verbal explosions)?
well, the dear leader executed the North Korean militray chief yesterday
So if the Chinese did that, this may have set them back
The Norks are China’s problem not ours. They need to be reminded to get NK under control. China uses NK to jerk our chain when we let them. We should never ever get involved in one on one talks with NK. Five party talks OK even GW knew that. But bottom line China is the one who can rein the Norks in at will.
Just reading that quote, my assumption is not that he's insinuating qualities worthy of his and our admiration, but rather he's presenting a question for thought: "How does he do that?"
Cutting and pasting from the quotes you offered, the premise I took away is Trump saying:
"How does "a maniac, OK?" takeover a country like NK from these tough generals?"I don't read "admiration, but rather someone talking about an inexperienced young monster taking and holding onto power."Even though it is a culture, and it's a culture thing, he goes in", and "all of a sudden", "he takes over, he's the boss. It's incredible", "you know?"
One more in support: "Trump called the authoritarian leader a "madman playing around with nukes" and a "total nut job.""
Can't argue with Trump about that.
