Fox News ^ | Feb 09, 2016

Donald Trump had a "yuuuge" win in the New Hampshire Republican primary, and it was in part thanks to Chris Christie going after Marco Rubio during the GOP debate over the weekend, Charles Krauthammer said tonight.

"Define “suicide attack” …"

An attack that knocks your own campaign down to a 6th place finish in the state where you spent all your money and effort. He's a burnt donut.

Limbaugh should have never gone all in on Rubio.

Rush has lost his mind. The American people have felt that all the established politicians will never change and the Country will only get worst. It will take a hard honest American to really make change and fast before it cannot be changed. That is Trump. Rush is a fool.

Trump has the kind of personality that folks in NH like. He’s up front, says what’s on his mind no matter how absurd, and doesn’t apologize for it.

Bill Clinton had that same kind of friendly, outgoing, life of the party personality that endears NH. Rubio doesn’t have it and neither does Cruz. Both of them are stuffed shirts, comparatively.

The big question is, how will a New Yorker do in the deep south, and in the west where the shirts tend to be very stuffy?

South Carolina is a bit more tolerant because it’s a big tourist attraction..at least on its east coast. But the mood further inland is more conservative, and they really like “polite’’ people. Trump might be a bit too abrasive for some of these older timers. Too ‘rude’.

If Trump carries western states, then I will be amazed. I think Iowa is a good reflection of what Trump can expect from the west. Low key people like Cruz and Rubio ...both of Hispanic back grounds, are likely to do better in the western states, Texas, and possibly more conservative southern states.

I’ve read it wrong before...could be wrong again..guess we’ll see.

Hahaha...

Krauthammer is going senile as he gets older.

Trump was winning NH by a country mile regardless of what happened with anyone else.

Did Christie finish 6th BECAUSE he had an outstanding debate performance and made mincemeat of Rubio? Cause and effect?

Suicide attack implies that Christie hurt himself by destroying Rubio.

I really don’t see the connection.

I’d have to say that Christie finished 6th because people don’t like him. Has nothing to do with a “suicide”.

“Possibly. They have some things in common.

Liberal views,”:

“I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall.”-Trump

“angry attitudes,”

“We need somebody who can take the brand of the United States and make it great again. Ladies and gentlemen: I am officially running for president of the United States, and we are going to make our country great again.”-Trump

“New York values,”:

“I have been against [same-sex marriage] from the standpoint of the Bible, from the standpoint of my teachings as growing up and going to Sunday school and going to church.” -Trump

” they both said Obama was a pretty good guy.”:

“Obama has no solutions. Obama has failed the country and its great citizens, and they don’t like it when somebody such as myself speaks the truth about this - it hurts too much.”-Trump

Facts are stubborn stubborn things, eh Cook?

Some so-called Pundits are overlooking the fact that, some of these candidates are no longer just running for President, they are running for Vice President.

I believe Christie, Carson, perhaps even Fiorina, would accept a V.P. offer.

So I think that is possible, and Christie is considering that and sees himself as a better VP choice than Rubio. It is not at all what Krauthammer may assume. Certainly not a suicide attack.

Frankly I’ve considered Christie the dark horse for the establishment.. He is the only one, besides Trump, with a personality and the X Factor.

Christie made Rubio his b$)(h at the debate... Rubio was never ready for prime time, he had his moment coming out of Iowa, but he blew it... He won’t be dropping out yet, but he’s done IMHO

Rubio was really a flavor of the week

He was a forlorn hope sort of like when I look whistfully into the newspaper shop selling Powerball tickets as the pot climbs north of $1B.

One of the exit polls on CNN said that voters who abandoned Rubio went to Trump. I wish they had pursued that because it flies in the face of conventional wisdom that all these establishment guys are interchangeable. All they need is for more to drop out so supporters can consolidate.

They all use a canned response. Nothing new here. Look at how Obama gets himself in trouble when he departs from his prepared remarks. The fat guy from Jersey has been caught doing the same during all the debates. What is happening is Trump is going to go all the way to the nomination and the others are going nowhere. I am 60 yrs of age. I have voted in every presidential election since 1976. Not sure if I will this time out.
