Don’t let all the fireworks fool you. If Trump wins, he may very easily pick Cruz to solidify the ticket. I would not doubt it at all.
Besides...a part of me says that Trump and Cruz still may be running a rope a dope on the press.
Keep our enemies in mind:
The Uniparty / GOPe / RINOs / WSJ / Rove.
Cruz defeats them with conservatism.
Trump defeats them with populism.
I prefer the former, but can totally live with the latter.

Fascinating. I always thought the break in January was pre-planned and agreed by both. I thought their agreement was essentially:
We’ll watch each others’ back until Iowa, then when we’re the only guys left standing, we’ll take our case to the voters.
But you’re suggesting they are still playing .... playing for the total delegate count they can walk into the convention with more than 50% in total. Brilliant. If that’s the game, let’s play!
Faux adversaries keep the interest high, the votes attracted to conservatism and populism separately, then combine at the end. Wow. Sounds like Cruz’s brain and Trump’s ego combined.
