I watched it strung together. It is weird to watch. I think he panicked and went into a programmed loop or “DO LOOP” in computer programming. I think he just has no independent thinking and was repeating what Karl Rove told him when he handed him the check.

Yep. I’ve seen it happen under the basilisk stare of more than a few judges. The careful, over-elaborate, abstract argument just fades away as the speaker chokes, and all he can do is clutch at the brightest, receding bits as the argument vanishes within his mind.
