Donald Trump has been blowing up the old traditional GOP certainties left and right, and this week he overturned another one. In what seemed like an embarrassing rebuke, on February 1, Adele told the Republican front-runner that he didnât have her permission to use her songs at his massive campaign events. Adele might just be the worldâs most popular singer at the moment, and any normal candidate would have folded his tent, chastened. Not Trump. At his rally in Little Rock, Arkansas two days later the crowd of thousands listened to Adeleâs âSkyfallâ before Trumpâs helicopter landed. A day after that, in Exeter, New Hampshire, Adeleâs âRolling In the Deepâ could be heard blaring behind the candidate when he made his entrance

Bush Family Used Eminent Domain to Build Baseball Park
I guess you’d be one to know all about trash, Oscar.
Trump is the only one who will be able to stand up to the Dems and the media in the general. He can take the heat. He’s tougher than Cruz. Bush would fold like a newly laundered shirt.
Bernie, is that you?
Comment of the day!
Better pray first!
As for blasting Steely Dan out of a car radio, guilty but never charged. Any Major Dude Will Tell You.
It’s who Trump insults that bothers me.
Because (a bit deep) as proxy servants of the devil who acted as the original liberal elite, climbing up some other way (in the original Occupy Movement: Is. 14) than obedience in response to grace, they seek to be autocratic leaders, who, as with the devil doing with Eve, (Gn. 3) gain power by instilling into souls the victim entitlement mentality, with themselves as the saviors of those who are "oppressed" due to (them or others) not obeying the Divine principles by which benefits are lawfully gained. Once they have incited those in "economy class" to rise up to subjugate those in "business class" out of lust for their benefits, then these saviors sit alone in autocratic control, with the rest impoverished and dependent on them, to give them the homage they lusted after and see themselves as worthy of. In short, they become as God as much as they can in terms of power, not character.
In contrast God needs nothing, (Acts 17:25) and is constantly giving, and at His own expense redeems those who deserve damnation, and then even rewards the obedience which He motivates and enables, so that "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne." (Revelation 3:21) To God be the glory.
That may well fall under the old adage..."He who pays the piper, calls the tune".
There. Fixed it.
And speaking of Industrial L.I.F.E.R. R.E.M.F. parasites...

F Them, and the Rainbow Jackwagon full of Generation XBox woosies the little "men" dribbled in on.
True, playing music at an event is fair game. You don’t need permission to play a recording in a bar, just pay ASCAP or BMI. Reproducing it (as in an ad) you need permission.
And I'll be glad when automatons like you wake up and realize how childish they are behaving. Perhaps you would feel more comfortable at Conservative Review where they blindly walk in lockstep with Teddy Bear Cruz. There would be no dissent and they employ tons of Cruz staffers like Mark Levin.
” I would have never purchased a Pretenders CD if it hadnât been for Rush Limbaugh.”
you did? It’s available on torrent. Ummm, as told to me by the neighbor’s kid. Honest...
Here’s the backstory according to Rush...
“She was no fan of mine. You know, Chrissie is a big feminist and animal rights wacko and all that, but she had no clue that the song had been denied usage and she’s telling Scott Shannon that her parents love my show. So in the end, we played tape of that ‘cause the EMI people had told us that Chrissie wanted no part of me using the song. Well, here she is saying she didn’t care. She told Scott Shannon of PLJ that she didn’t care and her parents were fans so we got that tape, that audio; we played it for the EMI people, and the song came back to the program. We pay an annual fee — which is fair, proper — for usage.”

I am a Cruz supporter, and I sometimes wonder if Trump is a true conservative - but I do absolutely LOVE Trump when he does stuff like this. A huge middle finger to this singer and the hollywood egos!!
Friend, you’re half way there, come on out of the Cruz pool. The sun is shining and the air is sweet over here.
Yep. She doesn’t own it if royalties are paid.
I think Trump is going to play every song she’s ever recorded at his rallies.
As well, if I invite you over to a barbeque at my house and I play a Steely Dan record for you or even if I’m rolling down a public street playing it in my car with the windows rolled down, I am legally obliged to pay public performance royalties.
Not correct. If you bought the Steely Dan record you PAID royalties and you can use it for private use. You can NOT charge people for the BBQ and play the song.
Honkytonks all over the country are obligated to pay a monthly fee. Most don’t.
Woe to them who call evil good and good evil.
