If he had gone ahead with the events they would have criticized him for endangering people trying to get to the events, not to mention the police providing security.
Another thread says Trump told a lesbian that he will push the homosexual agenda if he’s elected. Before this I was willing to vote for him if Cruz doesn’t get the nomination, but not after that.

It would have been “very easy†for Cruz’s campaign to reach out to clarify, Carson said. “I just think that anybody who accepts this kind of behavior and doesn’t feel that there’s anything that needs to be done about it has a different standard of ethics than I do.â€
