The gal who took care of the kiddos is a long-time friend. We grew up together and our dads were good friends for years. She knew how important it was for me to see Dad because it was obvious things weren’t going well.

I grew up in town and always dreamed of living on a farm. But I did the “big city” life for several years before the dream was realized at last. Now I can’t stand to go into large cities.

Definitely something to be said for the slower pace of country life.
Do you plan to try to move back to a country place some day? Sounds like you miss it.

Just don’t get a place with a big barn! You’ll end up with a herd of cats like we did. LOL

It was 40 when I left the office and just starting to sprinkle. Doesn’t seem to have continued, and it’s 37 at my house right now. *sigh* It’s gonna be hovering around freezing for a week.

Last evening she said she was feeling better, then pain back in the night. She seemed to have finally gone to sleep as I was leaving for work.
