Why would the Senate not convict? It requires 2/3 of the members present. Republicans currently have 54. They need 67. They would have to convince 13 Democrats that then will be accused of supporting treason against the United States.

Start with Manchin in West Virginia and Angus King (I) of Maine, and build from there.

If the FBI report is really really bad, then make EVERY Democrat defend giving our highest secrets to our enemies.

You answered your question right there. The argument that they would be “abetting treason” wouldn’t move the Democrats one inch.
