Cruz revels in Trump bashing
Politico ^ | February 3, 2016 | Katie Glueck

NASHUA, N.H. - Still riding a wave of confidence after winning the Iowa Caucuses, Ted Cruz was in rare form Wednesday night as he mocked Donald Trump over everything from losing Iowa to a previous record of liberal policy positions.

"Have you noticed Donald doesn't take losing well?" he said at a town hall here. "Donald told us every day for a year he was going to win Iowa, win it big, win it 'yuuuuuge,'" he said, poking at Trump's speaking style.

"I don't think people are interested in temper tantrums, or you could call it a 'Trumpertantrum,'" he continued, when asked about a number of criticisms Trump has thrown at him recently, including that his Monday night win in Iowa was fraudulent.

Cruz's comments came hours after his first major escalation of attacks of the day, when he suggested Trump's temperament was so poor that he might be inclined to "nuke Denmark," and Cruz also suggested his young daughters were more mature than Trump.

On Wednesday night, Cruz gloated over a report that former Democratic President Jimmy Carter's comment that he would prefer Trump over Cruz because Trump would be "malleable." Cruz said he instructed his team to track down video of those remarks from Carter, who is deeply unpopular among Republicans.

"I read the article on my iPhone today, my comment to the team was, if there is video, get the video, I want the video, I'm going to pay to air Jimmy Carter's attack on me," he said.

When protesters interrupted Cruz, with some yelling about climate change, Cruz said it appeared that "these children attended the Donald Trump-style school of debate."

And when he was asked about his wife's ties to Goldman Sachs and an undisclosed loan from the bank in the Senate race, Cruz defended the move and pivoted back to Trump attacks. "Heidi and I did something that is very novel and unfamiliar to Donald: we paid it back," he said to applause. "We have never declared bankruptcy, we have never stiffed a loan, we have never walked out on a loan, we paid it back."

Cruz said Trump's last financial disclosure form showed he had millions of dollars in loans, and "it could literally be billions of dollars he owes."

"For him to make this attack, to use a New York term," Cruz said, "is the height of chutzpah."

If there was one single Iowa voter who changed their vote from Carson to Cruz that voter would be all over the news today. Didn’t see a one.

I think Ted Cruz is very much a servant of the establishment as he is making sure that a sizable portion of the republican electorate will oppose him at any cost. There’s just no way I’ll vote for this ahole. anybody but Cruz.

TRUMP nails CRuse.

Cruz was pushing Roberts hard, from inside the Bush campaign connections. G W Bush finally nominated him.

Mr. Constitution proved to be the main lane for Roberts being at the top of the heap among the Bushies.

Liberal, I guess?

Cruz has so far received $325,000.000.00 from McConnell’s lawyer. uh, huh.

Cruz’ gift of $200,000.00 to McConnell and the NRSC, finally paid off. You know.

Remember, Mississippi?

It went toward the MISSISSIPPI TREATMENT to crush McDaniel, the TParty conservative who was leading that race, and it re-elected McConnell’s mule, Thad Cochran.

Cool, huh?

Yes, that was the year fine TED was Vice Chairman of the old boys club, the NRSC, and had to be so still.

Cruz never uttered a peep for, gave a dime to, or gave a damn about one single conservatives in those 2014 races.

He was greasing his climb with the Old Boys.

Of course, after the race, Ted was right on time. He raised all sorts of billy hell about Mississippi!

Yep. Right on time.

And NH voters applauded and cheered along with Americans who do not support Cruz.
I’d say it was good natured as DT had just accused him of stealing the win in Iowa.
DT - sore loser with the temperament of a child.

I will happily vote for Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio before I’ll vote for Ted Cruz.

FR THREAD: Trump's cash crunch

"Count me in with those who suspect that Donald Trump is no billionaire, but merely a poseur who may never have recovered from his many big-deal failures, as AT and others have already noted. Ted Cruz is finally bringing this idea up, but it's a testimony to just how opaque Trump has made his finances that only recently has anyone outside the financial press even discussed the matter.".........

I don't see anywhere in your post where it says Ted Cruz

a. Voted to confirm John Robert's

Or

b. Recommended John Roberts to George Bush as a Supreme Court Justice or was even on the committee that searched for a candidate for Bush

Let alone see anything about Ted Cruz being responsible for Obamacare.
What we do know is Ted Cruz voted against Obamacare, and has fought harder against Obamacare than any human being on the planet, including holding a filibuster in the United States Senate to stop Obamacare.
El Trumpo is going to have to try harder than that.

Trump will appoint someone like his sister ( who Trump insists Will make “an excellent Supreme Court Justice) , who is every bit as liberal as Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
At his worst, Justice Roberts is a billion times better than Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Trump will be a disaster for the Supreme Court.

Just think how well that change of heart about Roberts will go over if, and when, the question of eligibility and NBC makes it to the high court. I say it will when the MSM and Democrats decide to push it.

I’m sure my college roommate despised me, too. He was a leftist. Do I have a problem?

Trump’s sister is a Republican who was appointed Federal judge by Ronald Reagan. She was reappointed by Clinton but only because the congress refused to confirm his guy.
She testified before Congress in support of Alito at his confirmation hearing.

An apology is by default, admission of guilt.
In effect, he said his staff willfully lied in an attempt to win the Iowa not really voting contest.

Lawyers have a problem with discerning the paradox involving-just because something is not illegal, is it the right thing to do?-offering an apology after the act is a blatant attempt to mitigate the repercussions.

Lawyers.

The sad thing is, with the voter intimidation tactic of mailing ‘violation’ warnings along with this purposeful deceit, only won him one delegate. He has 8, Rubio and Trump each have seven.

His organization will lie and intimidate for only one delegate.

Who knows what this lawyer is capable of when something is worth cheating for.

In being asked about the SCOTUS nominations, Trump is already on record that Thomas would be his model.

Even if some Carson caucusers were swayed by the news that Carson was heading to Florida, no one can say where those votes might have gone.

They could have gone all over the place, and there is certainly no reason to think that all of them would have gone to Cruz. Trump might have benefited, and so might have Rubio, and it appears that the Rubio forces were also guilty of calling attention to the CNN story.

This imbroglio is a whole lot o’ nuttin’.
