Rove and the rest of the GOPe prefers Trump to Cruz in a heart beat.
Why?
Ethanol subsidies showed them all they needed to know. Trump supports this gigantic waste of taxpayer $$$ and Cruz stood up for taxpayers against K Street cronies.
Understand?
Cruz actually kept his promises he made when he ran for the Senate. He made enemies but he did what he promised.
He knew he would lose votes if he didn’t back the ethanol subsidy. Of course, he wanted to win but not bad enough to change his principles as Trump and Rubio eagerly did.
He won anyway.
