Scott N. Brooks, draped in a dapper shawl-collar sweater, looked out on the auditorium of mostly white students in puffy coats and sweats as they silently squirmed at his question. Maybe tennis is not as popular here as overseas, one student offered. Dr. Brooks countered: Ms. Williams is a global figure. As the room fell silent, the elephant settled in. Most sat still, eyes transfixed on the stage. None of the participants — roughly 70 students new to the University of Missouri — dared to offer the reason for the disparity that seemed most obvious. Once again we see why we have a racial divide. A “blunt discussion” of race consists of angry blacks pissing bile on docile whites. There isn’t any “discussion.”
I would think that the higher paid athlete also has a better agent negotiating her deals/endorsements.
‘Cause a lot fewer guys fantasize about an evening with Serena than with Maria?
They don’t want a discussion. They want a monologue.

Because endorsement deals are about salemanship and not about athletic ability. Sex sells, and Maria Sharapova is much sexier than Serena Williams.
Are these “Discussions” or “Lectures”?
Serena is the victim of black racism.
That was one of funny parts in that “Pixels” movie. When Peter Dinklage’s character is negotiating with the President for his “dream deal”, he demands a threesome with Martha Stewart and Serena Williams.
So even the thought of an evening with her is fodder for ludicrous comedies...

I’ve seen a few pics of Serena, when she’s dolled up, and she doesn’t look all that bad.
Because Maria Sharapova is hotter than Serena Williams. And you don’t have to take my word for it. Poll black men on the subject.
But wait, here are some other blunt questions about race:
- why is the mean IQ of black Americans about one standard deviation lower than the mean black IQ of white Americans?
- why are blacks 10 times as likely as whites to commit homicide?
- why has there been no reduction (that’s zero, nada) in the black white educational achievement gap since 1965?
Neither, the correct term is “Diktat”.
In the sport part of tennis I imagine the Williams sisters do make the most money. They win the most tournaments and take the biggest payoffs. But what he's talking about isn't about sports, it's about marketing. It's about which figure is best to use to market a particular product. Sharapova does a better job of it than Williams does and race doesn't necessarily play into it.
Maria Sharipova is eye-candy. Just the sort companies love to have endorsing their products/services. Advertising 101. Shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Grief.

It goes beyond their appearances; if Serena Williams pimps a product, it will be viewed as a “black” product - and they’re not target for high-end products.
What freakin “racist episodes”????? What were they??? There were none. There was Ferguson, which in and of itself was a lie. Then what? From what I remember, a couple Black Student Union types saw a swastika (how is that anti-black) and claimed that they heard someone shout the dreaded “N word” as they walked by a protest. That probably was a lie too and even if it wasn’t, how is some dope yelling “N” the cause of hysterics? Lie on top of lie on top of lie. And now its reported matter-of-factly as the truth in “respectable” publications like the New York Times using vague language like “racial incidents” to try to blow up their importance. If the NYT tied all this BS back to one kid allegedly yelling “N”, as reported by a bunch of people with a racial ax to grind, it would look laughable even to the P.C.-besotted Libs who read the Times.
Sex sells.
Maria Sharapova is hot as doughnut grease, whereas Serena looks like a silverback had sex with a dumptruck.
Its simple really.
Thats why.
Maria only earns twice as much?? She is definitely underpaid.
