One of the key metrics on the strength of a campaign is how well their fundraising, and allocation of resources are going. In that measure Ted Cruz's campaign is on fire. According to FEC reports, for the most recent filing period, Ted Cruz had more cash on hand than the Republican National Committee.
For the period ending on December 31, 2015 Cruz reported having $18,734,794.46 cash on hand. For the same end date the Republican National Committee had $18,723,782 on hand. Cruz had about $11,000 more in his war chest than the RNC. It shows a particular strength for his campaign.
Part of the cash on hand equation is how well a campaign has managed their resources. The ratio of money spent to money raised is know as a campaign's burn rate. Going into the heat of the primary season, Cruz's burn rate is the lowest of all candidates. He has spent just 60.6% of what he has raised.
So while Ben Carson has raised more money, he has burned through it at a much faster rate than Cruz. Carson has spent 88% of what he has raised, mostly on direct mail, which allowed him to raise the money in the first place.
Going into the home stretch of the nominating contests, here is a ranking of the current candidates cash on hand as reported to the FEC...

Following the New Hampshire primary i'll send you the following:
Oh noes!!!!!!
And it WON'T be because Cruz won!
Of course Cruz won’t win. I never said he would.
Trump will win at about 34%. Cruz will come in second about 18%. Rubio will follow close around 16%. Christie I think will take fourth with about 11%. Bush and Kasich about 7% each. Carson will be sitting at 6%. Fiorina (if she hasn’t dropped out) will be about 2%.
Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Christie and Carson will make the trip to South Carolina with a walking dead Bush.
South Carolina will be interesting. But it should leave us with Trump and Cruz. Rubio will be along if he comes in second or ends up less than 5% behind the second place finisher.
Then its a 2-way or 3-way race.
But you are still insane if you think the fact that Heidi Cruz works for Goldman-Sachs means that they control Ted Cruz.
No Bushes, no more Clintons!!!!!
YOU implied that they controlled him through YOUR interpretation of what I said.
Goldman-Sachs has a definite and direct CONNECTION, that at this point, presents TOO MANY doubts for voters who follow the media initiated "bread crumbs."
The BIG story being overlooked and coming, which everyone says will NEVER happen, is Hillary Clinton being kneecapped and sidelined by the current FBI investigation.
Probably headlining immediately after the New Hampshire primary is concluded.
Much more involved than someone like you is even aware of. Deny all you like but Cruz will not curry enough favor with the public going forward to even leave tread marks on the pavement.
What is any other possible interpretation of this comment? It's a charge leveled against Cruz on a daily basis here, and one that is absolute fantasy and paranoia.
The upside of your statement is that once you get you head out of your rectum you'll at least KNOW whether you have bowel cancer or not.
Just accusations, no evidence, no rational arguments. Yep. Typical.
What's that O'reilly guy call that type of rhetoric?.. Bloviating?
