Mark Levin Blasts Media Over Ignoring Cruz's Stunning Victory While Propping Up Rubio as 'Winner'
PJ Media ^ | 02-02-2016 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 02/03/2016 5:31:05 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

On his radio show yesterday, Mark Levin rightfully blasted the media for spinning the Iowa caucuses. They are, he explained pretending that Marco Rubio was the winner of the night because he got a larger share of the vote than projected.

He did. But that does not make him a winner, Levin said: Rubio finished third... which is exactly where the polls had him. Yes, he received more voters, but he placed as expected.

As Levin pointed out yesterday, the real winner of the Iowa caucuses was Ted Cruz. Not only did he perform better than thought by finishing first rather than second, and not only did he get 4% more than projected in the RCP average, he also took on the ethanol lobby, the MSM, and the establishment... and he walked away with more voters than any Republican candidate in Iowa's history.

That's the real story here, not that the establishment favorite -- who was supported by establishment politicians, whose Super PACs relentlessly went after Cruz, who was pushed continuously by the media -- ended up finishing third, but with a higher percentage than expected.

“he was EXPECTED to win. “
______________________________________________________________________________

The last 13 polls in IA over nearly 2 weeks before the caucus (check RCP), including the “gold standard, DMR” had Trump winning Iowa, not Cruz....there was hardly an EXPECTED Cruz win...many (hopeful) pundits thought he might fall to 3rd behind the hard charging Rubio..get your facts straight!

And every Cruz supporter on this forum discounted those polls and said they were inaccurate.

Additionally, it really did become the talking point when the campaing began in earnest that Cruz had the evangelicals and that he was expected to win Iowa.

over the last 5 months either Carson or Cruz were ahead in Iowa for the vast majority of the time.. Trump only came on at the end and lost because he boycotted the Iowa debate and those votes went mostly to Rubio but some to Cruz,, pretty much that was it.. not very hard to figure out

The chertoff group is a major insider..both in the beltway and banking. Last year did a deal with the carlyle group to take a major stake in a company. Chad sweet is Cia and nsa connected.

Cruz was mainline GOPe up until 2010 TEA revolution. At that point like a lot of careerist he tacked. Rubio did the same.

The reason the establishment hate Cruz so much now is he is one of them but is using them as props in his beltway theater performances.

This party needs to unite behind either Trump or Cruz, or it will fail.

Nobody is going to support Rubio after his attempted Gang of Eight sellout on immigration. Nor will they turn out for any of the other single-digit RINOS if magic sleight-of-hand somehow gains them the nomination.

It may not have been the boycott. It may have been the heavily air Cruz ad showing Trump bulldozing an old widow’s house and getting rich from eminent domain.

Two things that never happened, btw. But the ad did do serious damage to Trump’s support. Not the greatest way to win, but Cruz and his supporters will take it.

Cruz is the only one in Congress with a pair of balls to stand up to that POS coward Boehner and McConnell. Both of the bastards are the reason that we still have Obamacare and open borders. Allen West was willing to take on the establishment too, and they did what they do best—align with the left and attempt to destroy anyone who will upset their little bubble worlds. The GOP-e is perfectly content ceding American sovereignty and letting the left destroy our country as long as they get the keep the pathetic crumbs that get thrown to them and keep getting invited to the DC social functions.

Was Cruz’s wife disbarred? Was Cruz’s wife accused of raping multiple women? Did Cruz give billions of dollars to our enemy with a finger-crossed promise to never build nuclear weapons? Did Cruz order our embassy to stand back and be annihilated and then lie about it? Did Cruz use his Senate email on his own server? How many of Cruz’s aides have wound up dead like Ron Brown, Vince Foster, etc?

Dirtiest politician, my ass. With this attitude, we will all be goosestepping to Empress Hillary on January 20.

Senator Cruz WON. Trump got first loser. Rubio got a participation ribbon.

He won the same way Thad Cochran won in Mississippi.

“It may have been the heavily air Cruz ad showing Trump bulldozing an old widow’s house...”

But according to Rush, that is as nothing compared to Trump off the cuff hyperbolically suggesting Cruz wanting to leave poor people dying on the streets with lack of health care during a Sunday interview that no one saw.

“Cruz is the only one in Congress with a pair of balls to stand up to that POS coward Boehner and McConnell.”

Except when he really had a shot at shaping the outcome, as in TPA.
