Teddy was on the radio with Hannity today...20 solid of Teddy lying and trashing Trump!

When Sean said it looks like a 3w man race, Teddy said: "NO, A ONE MAN RACE...ME!"

That's pretty big talk for a guy way behind in just about every state in the nation except maybe 2.

I keep repeating my observation and gut sense that Senator Cruz is arrogant and insufferably conceited ... Other than being a lawyer and a senator - and a junior senator at that - what has he accomplished to make this country a better place? Yet he talks as if he believes he can walk on water.

Now, I admit Donald Trump is very much braggadocio in his remarks - BUT he has a record of accomplishments longer than the number of years Ted Cruz has been on this Earth! Other than his obvious insatiable ambition for the top post in government, what has Ted Cruz actually done in comparison to what Trump has accomplished? What benefit has Senator Cruz provided to the nation? Yes, he is conservative, etc ... And that has created exactly what for our benefit? Making lots of establishment enemies may have earned him kudos with the conservative base, but then what? What good is he as the most conservative president ever to hold office if he cannot get anything done because everybody hates his guts? Unless he is going to rule by executive decree, we will end up with four more years of nothing.

OTOH, Donald Trump is not a pure conservative, and he has a liberal past ... But, in a hardball dog-eat-dog place like New York City, he has managed to accomplish much of real value ... And he has done the same across the nation and around the world. That takes real leadership skills, because not everybody is a conservative clone. That is the problem with Ted - he cannot negotiate because everything must go his way - and if any here think that they can accomplish when being a rigid ideologue, then I reply you do not live in the real world. I understand their are principle that must never be compromised - but I also see very plainly that Senator Cruz is scrupulous to the point of believing that NOTHING is negotiable. That does not work when you must be a leader of 350 million people.

I want a president who gets the right things done - I do not need to have some snarky, nasally know-it-all preach to me as if I were a Neanderthal. When I need the wisdom and advice of a preacher I go to church - not to a government office. Counseling in wisdom is a two way street, and that is where Ted Cruz fails ...

Ted Cruz talks AT people - Donald Trump talks WITH people.
There’s a very BIG difference in how people respond.

Ted Cruz comes across as Al Gore with attitude. A patronizing condescending tone is an instant turn off for many people ... Donal Trump comes across as a great coach, pushing you to your limit - because he KNOWS you’ve got more than you think you do ... Because the coach BELIEVES in your ability to surpass mediocrity ... Because a true coach will not tolerate a slacker ... And because a good coach will give everything he’s got in training and rallying his players to win!

Then there is the “holy roller shtick” ... And I do not intend the remark to slam people of faith - as I am a traditional Catholic. I have no problems with public displays of faith, EXCEPT when it is done in a way that comes across as disingenuous, or as an attempt to manipulate perceptions. Those individuals who constantly wear religion on their sleeves, so to say “look at me! God loves me because I’m more special than you!” do a disservice to religion. They make faith a caricature of itself. The more Ted Cruz acts in this manner, the more plastic he appears to those who have a sense of humility.

Perhaps it is for the above reasons that Senator Cruz is said to have few friends. I don’t know if that is true - but if it is factual, then I could understand why.

His demeanor is that of a self-important elitist, who acts as though he is the only person around with intelligence and something meaningful to contribute ...

Whereas Donald Trump BELIEVES, EXPRESSES and PROJECTS an attitude that shouts “all people possess the ability to overcome any obstacle and do great things.”

Trump, for all his perceived and real flaws, has an intuitive understanding that the only thing Americans need is for government to get the hell out of our way, so that ‘We the People’ may unleash the power of our innate creative spirit to “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
