On a dirty politics scale this probably rates a one or two out of ten, especially for anyone old enough to have lived through a Lyndon Baines Johnson campaign. The so called rumors this morning about Rubio? That’s eight or nine territory and if a specific campaign is involved the candidate will owe a lot more than an apology. Problem for Rubio is any investigation into the source just gives the story more exposure. That’s how a poison pill works. Genuinely filthy tactic.
