Lol, what a pathetically weak argument you make in trying to excuse the knee knee jerk and irresponsible behavior of a presidential campaign organization. They saw a chance to sway some votes and that's all they considered, like some drunk college boys trying to pick up girls in a bar.
The votes that were swayed went to Rubio. The preferred candidate of the GOPe and media companies like Fox and CNN, whose people started saying, about the same time as the CNN report came out, that they would do better than expected - even though Carson’s votes would more reasonably be expected to go to Cruz.
