Trump blames the VOTERS for Iowa loss: Republican claims he got no credit for self-funding - then claims he isn't getting credit for 'long-shot great finish'
Donald Trump spent this morning doling out blame on Twitter for his Iowa loss.
'I don't believe I have been given any credit by the voters for self-funding my campaign, the only one. I will keep doing, but not worth it!' Trump tweeted.
He also pointed fingers at the media for now crowning his second place finish behind Ted Cruz a win.
'The media has not covered my long-shot great finish in Iowa fairly. Brought in record voters and got second highest vote total in history!' Trump wrote.
The usually Twitter-happy Donald Trump kept quiet for 15-plus hours in the aftermath of the Iowa caucuses, where he was bested Cruz, but finally popped back online this morning to thank voters and spin his defeat.
'My experience in Iowa was a great one. I started out with all of the experts saying I couldn't do well there and ended up in 2nd place,' Trump tweeted. 'Nice.'
'Because I was told I could not do well in Iowa, I spent very little there - a fraction of Cruz & Rubio. Came in a strong second,' Trump continued. 'Great honor.'
Trump is looking forward to New Hampshire, a state where his polling edge is in double digits, where he'll campaign tonight in Milford in a bid to bury his Iowa defeat.
'I will be talking about my wonderful experience in Iowa and the simultaneous unfair treatment by the media-later in New Hampshire. Big crowd,' he also tweeted.

Didn’t realize that was a qualification for the office...
He didn’t. More nonsense from you.

Self funding? Yeah right.
He reimburses himself for all expenses.
How much has Soros given him?
The winners last night were:
The GOPe
The Media
Both got exactly what they wanted last night, an establishment guy in 1st and 3rd place to show up that Trump idiot
well...Yes, Donald....it IS the voter’s fault that you lost.
That’s how elections work....
How is Cruz an establishment guy? He stuck to his conservative principles and won.
The vast majority of it is.
No Super PACS like Ted, and all donations dont cover the amount he’s spent, which isn’t very much.
Yes, he accepts hard money donations, like every one else
But Soros hasn’t given Trump a dime, because Trump does not have a PAC
but he did donate loads to other PACS, mostly Hillary’s
But that won’t stop you from smearing Trump with lies and innuendos. You should be happy, the Establishment and the Media won last night
So now Cruz is “establishment,” eh?
A pox upon him for opposing “the Donald.” He dare he...
Trump is turning into a whiny loser. If it isn’t worth it Donald then maybe you should quit.
I like Trump but I think most voters realize that although he’s not spending much he is getting tens of millions of dollars worth of free publicity and airtime on the media. I’m glad to see it and I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve it but you can’t disregard it.
I have great respect for you, as you know.
But I will keep doing, but not worth it!’...
he’s gotta stop saying stuff like that or Cruz will be 3rd and Trump WILL BE SECOND!!!
and we’ll all be screwed with RUBIO!
Trump gets attacked first and if he’s not around it’s Cruz, like we saw last week with the debate.
I can see preferring one over the other, but I dont see either as a bad choice and I will vote for either in the primary.
I HOPE trump realizes the bigger threat is from Rubio at this point.
His daughter should have to screen his twitter posts!!

I’m not buying the idea that Cruz is a guy that the GOPe wants. Rubio, definitely, but the establishment doesn’t like Cruz any more than they like Trump.

Someone give the little boy credit, fast, before he cries. And tell him how rich and wonderful he is too for good measure. He desperately needs a pat on the back.
