We got off of an Aero Mexico flight in Cozumel and laughed when we saw the nose of the plane had been patched with duct tape. When we got back on a week later we saw that the duct tape had been covered with a coat of fresh paint.

We never flew Aero Mexico again, God only knows how they patched up the engine.

There is such a thing as aircraft tape. Holds as strong as welded metal of the same surface area and is approved for many repairs.

It’s typically shiny silver or a light matte grey
