That's an excellent point. In essence, if things hold up, we have a 3-way tie. Pretty much how it went in 2012 with Santorum, Romney and Paul.
Santorum "won" Iowa by a total of 34 votes over Romney. Ron Paul wasn't that far behind in third.
Well, on to New Hampshire and as for Iowa, as they say about the Grateful Dead, what a long, strange trip it's been.
Of course it was misreported that Romney won and he got the victory speech and press accolades. After it was determined Santorum, in fact, won...it was basically “oh yeah, it turns out Santorum won.” Had this been the story on election night, he may have gotten some momentum out of it - but essentially he lost.
