Not sure how we can continue on down this path. I can't wait to see if we can hit the wonderful $20 trillion mark in Obama's presidency. Maybe not, but it'll probably be fairly close.

I would start working on that intergovernmental holdings. Once you get that down to zero then you work on the bigger debt. I swear that would be my priority to pay down the debt. I would tell Hollywood and CEO and others where to add money to their taxes on their tax forms. You know how Obama put out videos showing how to sign up for Obamacare. I'd do videos showing where to add funds to pay off the debt. Heck I might even add a line on the tax form specifically for the debate like they do for the presidential elections. Add such and such an amount. Well see how much those liberals believe their BS.

Doesn't the Republican controlled Congress control the purse string? Was my social studies 101 teacher wrong?

I hate to say it but TRUMP might be the only man passionate enough about money to put a dent in this. He's endured bankruptcies, yes, but has also learned the ropes because of it. He'll get the 'killers' on board who'll attack this debt like nobody else can; trade imbalances, etc..
What's YOUR take, FReepers?

The ‘Representative government’ thing is ALL window dressing. All for show. You know better. When the president can call the owner of a website and tell him not to allow gun sale postings, WE’RE UNDER A DICTATORSHIP!

I wish I could mount an agreement against you. I can’t.

Apparently mine was. About that "balance of powers idea". Oh....and "legislating from the bench". Yeah.

Just as he and Soros planned it. Put the U.S. into an unrecoverable financial position and watch it burn

You’re touching on a very big reason why I want Trump and his team in there scouring the budget looking for savings.
He seems to agree this deficit spending can’t continue. I think he’s right. He has addressed paying down the debt also.
That’s why it’s so vitally important to get our people back to work.
