Cruz will say ANYTHING to talk his way out of things? Anyone who follows the campaign knows it was Cruz who advocated for his friend.
Cruz has sunk to another level, for me. Now I'm down to not trusting him because he'll lie about anything, and expect us to accept whatever he says. We don't need another eight years of that attitude.
Just note that Cruz/Rove/Bush are using their Big Data social media bots to input our FR posts to hone and push their GOPe candidate on us.

Anyone could be inserted into that statement. It’s the nature of the beast.
There is no perfect candidate and I’ve seen folks all over FR that will ignore the obvious about “their” candidate and throw whatever they can out in support of “their” candidate.
I’d like to think somewhere in America there’s far better people that could be President than anyone who’s running. To bad folks couldn’t run for office instead of buying it.
Please excuse the lapse in my memory, because I can't recall the name of the judge that Cruz lobbied for, but I can tell you that it was NOT John Roberts.
Once Bush made his selection it was Cruz's job to get behind the appointment and help get the nomination confirmed. I won't fault him for doing his job.
I will fault you for implying that John Roberts was Cruz's preferred candidate. He was not.
Cruz is probably correct on GW Bush not wanting to fight for a conservative nominee. Bush was a big government statist, not a conservative. Like his Daddy who put Souter on the court, W was more interested in appeasing far left Democrats than in putting Conatitutionalists on the Court.
As to Cruz he was a rising member of the political class trying to build a career in a moderate Republican administration. The lesson here is Cruz will serve his master. The question then is, if Cruz is the GOP nominee, and wins the general election, who will be his master? He is not independently wealthy so he is piling up debts and obligations.
