Even if Iowa’s first-in-the-nation Republican caucuses do not always pick the winner, they have been known to derail front-runners. Trump knows this. So does Cruz. So do the pundits. And so do Republicans across the country.
Trump could really use a win in Iowa. If he gets it, along with the wins he has a good shot at securing in the ensuing New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries, he could be well on his way to becoming the Republican nominee.

That's just a reference to MoDo's screaming Jurassic leap, in her first column the day after Palin was introduced by the McCain campaign. Dowd's first move was (for some inscrutable reason) to name Sarah's eyeglass frame couturier, before tearing her down six different other ways. I never quite got it, but it was remarkable. So I remark it sometimes. Maybe someone will explain it some day.
Her kids' acting-out has mostly been Bristol, who's a knothead, and now her son, who appears to have some PTSD issues. The old man has been there for the kids when Mom has been out politicking, or else she's taken them along. I don't remember, though, anyone laying off Steve Ford's or Amy Carter's acting-out on the old man. Are you sure you've got a good meme there, or is it Sarah's failure to attend Princeton or Georgetown Law after all?
I’m just of the opinion that a mother’s influence greatly determines the morality of her children.
I’m not an enemy of Palin, although I have a negavitive view of her. I’m just not seeing her as someone who influences great numbers of Americans.
But I’m not a Trump fan either except in the entertainment front. I find him to be magnetic, but I don’t see him as the great hope of conservatives.
It would have been smarter for Sarah to bide her time and then hitch her boat to the candidate rather than become embroiled in the circus like atmosphere of Trumpism.
So Sarah can't read character like blind Tireisias or the emperor Alexius Comnenus (nobody could lie to him), and I don't think she can see through Trump.
Cruz is the better candidate for what she and other Tea Party people want to accomplish. That old "he's unpopular, he can't get elected, everybody hates him" is 100% age-old 9th-grade calumny, but unfortunately it works for lots of people.
TRump loses IOWA.
no show in debate = loss in polls.
