Poll: Trump is least popular of all 2016 candidates
The Hill ^ | January 31, 2016 | Harper Neidig

Republican front-runner Donald Trump has the highest unfavorable ratings of any presidential candidate in either party in the 2016 field, a Gallup poll released Saturday found.

Sixty percent of those surveyed gave the business mogul unfavorable ratings, while a third said they viewed him favorably, for a net favorability rating of -27.

Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Jeb Bush are tied for second-lowest net favorability ratings with -10 each.

Among other Republican candidates, Bush's 45 percent unfavorable rating is the next-worst after Trump.

Following him are Chris Christie at 38 percent, Ted Cruz at 37 percent, Marco Rubio at 33 percent and Ben Carson at 30 percent.

Clinton's unfavorable rating is 52 percent. Democratic presidential rival Bernie Sanders' is 31 percent.

The numbers pose a striking contrast to the fact that Trump dominates the Republican field in polls nationally and in most early-voting states.

So Hillary will do worse against Cruz who can only get 16% of republicans to vote for him verses against Trump who has 36% of republicans voting for him. That doesn't make sense.

Because your numbers are off, ya think?

It’s impossible to win an election if 60% of the voters hate you

Those are the % voting in the polls for the GOP nomination. I expect the actual % in the primaries will be higher. And much higher in the General election.

However in any case, I see more GOP voters voting for Trump in the General election than for Cruz in the general election. And I also see more Democrat voters voting for Trump in the general election and probably close to 0% voting for Cruz.

Does it seem like there is some squawking little voice missing this morning from your regularly scheduled anti-Trump screeds?

Hmmm, let me see here, spews venom, offers nothing but the same tiresome nonsense and echoing whatever you post in a pathetic display of "me-too'ism", darn, who could it be?

oh YES!!! of COURSE!!

My condolences to you at this difficult time:

Early on in the primary Trump’s negatives with Republican voters were very high. However he turned them around very soon (not sure why). Maybe he can repeat that result in the general election.

I’ll take unfavorable and winning over favorable and sing. The good news is Hillary has about the same unfavorables. People are tired of nice guy loser like Romney. And Cruz’s problem is he is mean and nasty and losing in the polls
___________________________________________________________

People with higher unfavorables that Clinton don’t win that is the point. When the dems get done spending a billion pointing out Trump’s flipping flopping he will lose bigger than McCain. BTW Hillary won’t be the dem nominee it will either be Biden or Sanders.

Because tens of thousands of ordinary people standing in lines for hours to attend his campaign rallies have got to be evidence of this

Shouldn’t they be home taking calls from pollsters?

Lol! If the democrats want to paint trump as a liberal he will take their voters but I sure can’t see Sanders or Biden taking conservatives

And btw, when was the last time a democrat won the presidency by painting his republican rival as too liberal?

If conservatives stay home then we have a choice between a Marxist, a brain damaged obama clone, or a successful capitalist who has been in the past a social liberal

Still haven’t figured out the appeal of Trump? Easy one. He is a hard nosed bastard who will take no prisoners. This election is not a popularity contest, not this time. This time it is about destroying an entrenched political class that is hopelessly corrupt. Trump says he wants to do that. I say give him his best shot.

They will paint him as a special interest liar and use his own words to prove it. They will paint him as a loose cannon with no beliefs and use his words to condemn him.

If you want to live in your Trump Fantasyland feel free, but with his name recognition he won’t move those numbers most of the country finds him personally repugnant.

Trump and Hillary's unfavorable are both extremely high. It's the a-hole factor and credibility factor.

I'm not voting for either of them. Cruz or lose.
