Republican front-runner Donald Trump has the highest unfavorable ratings of any presidential candidate in either party in the 2016 field, a Gallup poll released Saturday found.
Sixty percent of those surveyed gave the business mogul unfavorable ratings, while a third said they viewed him favorably, for a net favorability rating of -27.
Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Jeb Bush are tied for second-lowest net favorability ratings with -10 each.
Among other Republican candidates, Bush's 45 percent unfavorable rating is the next-worst after Trump.
Following him are Chris Christie at 38 percent, Ted Cruz at 37 percent, Marco Rubio at 33 percent and Ben Carson at 30 percent.
Clinton's unfavorable rating is 52 percent. Democratic presidential rival Bernie Sanders' is 31 percent.
The numbers pose a striking contrast to the fact that Trump dominates the Republican field in polls nationally and in most early-voting states.
There are bully lovers and bully haters. There are not so many bully neutral people.
They know Trump is about to win big time. This article is pathetic.
Man...,the ESTABLISHMENT MEDIA RATS are desperate!!!
You know what I like about like about you CW?
You are a happy warrior
65 percent of who? these idiots are dreaming, tell that to the sold out crowds where ever he goes
I think we hold elections only to see how accurate the opinion polls are. ;-)
When Bush was running for re-election in 2004, his highest unfavorable was 47%, while John Kerry's highest was 45%.
Clinton's unfavorable ratings are already higher than Bush's ever were while he was running for office.
What happens if both parties nominate unelectable candidates?
Kaboom
What happens when an unlikable force meets an unelectable object?
Two words: Michael Bloomberg.
Can’t imagine why. What a mystery.
: )
Keep calm and carry on.
: )
I guess one of them wins.
You are of course free to print junk. But just the SLIGHTEST attempt at honesty would be nice.
It’s like the true but utterly misleading and irrelevant claim that “5% of the US population controls 50% of the wealth,” or similar “facts” that really are lies.
Fact: measuring a show business celebrity’s “unfavorables” as opposed to an actual politician’s is just stupid. Would you think because Richard Petty has “high unfavorables” he isn’t genuinely loved by all of NASCAR? Did JR Ewing have “unfavorables”? Yeah, all the way to the highest ratings. How about “The Undertaker” in WWF? People would boo-—because it was part of the show. No one HATES or actually had a low opinion of Petty, JR, or the Undertaker. They were playing a character.
As long as you, the NRO statisticians, the National Review bloggers continue to cite this nonsense in light of Trump’s often mind boggling poll numbers you and they will continue to miss reality. Fine with me. You can miss it right up to Trump’s inauguration. But you really should do something about that hate.
Yes’m
Another well-reasoned, non-personal post by a Trump supporter.
If Trump is elected stand by for what Obama sold us
Obama and the drive bys tried to sell us Cruz, knowing they would effectively demonize him in the general and that he would then give us Hillary. It didn’t work.
I think what we are seeing here is an under currant and is REAL
I voted 3 times for that man and would vote 3 more times.
He like trump will no go silently in the night.
Good for them. I just don’t trust the Don
We'll find out the truth in November if the electronic voting isn't rigged
