Poll: Trump is least popular of all 2016 candidates
The Hill ^ | January 31, 2016 | Harper Neidig

Republican front-runner Donald Trump has the highest unfavorable ratings of any presidential candidate in either party in the 2016 field, a Gallup poll released Saturday found.

Sixty percent of those surveyed gave the business mogul unfavorable ratings, while a third said they viewed him favorably, for a net favorability rating of -27.

Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Jeb Bush are tied for second-lowest net favorability ratings with -10 each.

Among other Republican candidates, Bush's 45 percent unfavorable rating is the next-worst after Trump.

Following him are Chris Christie at 38 percent, Ted Cruz at 37 percent, Marco Rubio at 33 percent and Ben Carson at 30 percent.

Clinton's unfavorable rating is 52 percent. Democratic presidential rival Bernie Sanders' is 31 percent.

The numbers pose a striking contrast to the fact that Trump dominates the Republican field in polls nationally and in most early-voting states.

You know that’s a fact and why more than a few people ignore that in hopes people wont remember. That statement effectively took the teeth out of slick willy right there and then.

Winning in the republican polls is least popular??

Least likeable maybe but the headline creates a big distortion.

This whole raising money for vets stuff leaves me cold.

I am a Vet and they never give vets their due.

Most would not have a take a hand out, its a sham.

Donny called his rich buddies and said throw a penny in the vets hat so I may be king, I will repay ya in volumes

The only thing that’s been proven is that if the GOPe nominates a non-christian ultra-liberal candidate they get their magic underwear handed to them.

You are about to witness the strongest primary performance in the history of the Republican party. And it ain’t Cruz. Won’t even be Cruz in Iowa no matter how hard he tried to intimidate voters.

how’s it already been proven when DT has never been nominated before?

you’re just speaking your fear, not actual truth.

I believe Trump has much more positive plans for this country than obama had negative, people are waking up to that idea since DT has accomplished so much in biz and good for others in various ways in communities.

I’m not seeing those sorts of personal giving and accomplishing projects for communities, or proven track record of accomplishment of any type projects they proposed or started from other candidates.

Did McCain win? Did Romney win? The answer is “no” to both.

Trump is for Trump and if you cannot research what Cruz has done — that isn’t my problem.

“THe Don” has a 60% unfavorable rating with the general electorate. The trumpeteers are living in a fantasy world where everyone is as taken with his Elmer Gantry BS routine as they are. That isn’t the case this guy will lose in a historic landslide.

Enjoy the ride He will probably win the nomination but will be destroyed in the General Election. He has close to 100% name recognition among the population he won’t move the needle with his shuck and jive routine.

I would far prefer Rubio as flawed as he is to the Malignant Narcissist Trump.
