On the right side of the picture you see a stage and lecturn. Now on the left side the people seem to be seated facing the other direction -- away from the stage. Was the picture photoshopped or smoething? Then again, maybe my eyes are going buggy. |

Looks like someone tried to meld two different photos together.
Panoramic photo. You can see people on the right side looking to the left as if someone is standing off camera. Panoramic photos also make the scene look bigger than it really is.

In your mind's eye pull the back corners forward until the wall ceiling line appears straight, that swings right and left seating into a more normal wide angle photo. Technically it is a software fix/feature but almost automatic with some cameras and phones.

He quadrupled the size of the room. It is 3 or 4 pictures together from different angles, which is obvious, but gives the impression that the room is really large.
