From memoirs to financial advice to politics, inside the collected writings of Donald J. Trump.
Sitting down with the collected works of Donald J. Trump is unlike any literary experience Iâve ever had or could ever imagine. I spent this past week reading eight of his books â three memoirs, three business-advice titles and his two political books, all published between 1987 and 2011 â hoping to develop a unified theory of the man, or at least find a method in the Trumpness.
Somethng’s deep here, that’s for sure,
He read 2000+ pages, constantly looking for reasons to dislike the author of the 2000+ pages?
What a fool.
My guess: He didn’t read more than 10 pages. He already had his conclusion typed up, so why bother reading??
Would have been better off reading right books about Trump, not by him.
I never doubted his drive and wealth motivation. I just want to know if he will be a strong strict constitutionalist, appoint conservative justices and surround himself with constitution loving conservatives on his cabinet, flush the State Department, DOJ, and now Pentagon leftist /communists.
Will he do what is right or will he reach across the isle to work with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid?
The best book on Trump is the unauthorized biography from the mid 1980’s. It was not anti Trump but left you read between the lines. I read it a few weeks ago and have shared it grequently since then.
I might be following in your footsteps, Hombre. Just ordered Art of the Deal a few days ago. Will go from there.
Is that like reading books ABOUT the Bible instead of reading the Bible, itself?
... Over the course of 2,212 pages, I encountered a world where bragging is breathing and insulting is talking, where repetition and contradiction come standard, where vengefulness and insecurity erupt at random.
I can’t argue with that - I see it with my own eyes. But he has sold 30% or so that he is the GREATEST based on his insulting, contradictions and vengefulness.
Which isle? The Isle of Patmos? Isle of Man? Skye? Wight and Capri are way too big to reach across.
I think you’ll want to read the article. It will help you see the full oeuvre of Trump’s
He can win the Presidency without kissing up to the GOPe establishment and the Democrats. But he’s been doing it anyway. He will compromise too much. He could have a bigger landslide by excoriating the statists and whipping people like me who are angry our country is going down the drain. Instead he pulls back and liberalizes his base and tries to be everything to everyone. No, that’s someone I can’t trust.
I think SeaHawk said “read the RIGHT books”. Hummm.
Mr Single Payor 2000? Lemme guess.
As for the Bible, God is God; Trump only thinks he is God.
Does not surprise me.
Say what you want the article pretty much nails it on Trump.
Explains why he is so popular with many, but why he shouldn’t be.
I think the is the same article, but not behind the WP Pay Wall. http://www.standard.net/National-Commentary/2015/08/02/I-just-binge-read-8-books-by-Donald-Trump-Here-s-what-I-learned
Well, it is the Washington Compost. What else could you expect?
Sums up the single most important set of standards for examining each and every candidate now and in the future!!!
