Evangelical Christians, at the moment, are totally enamored with a candidate who has profited off strip clubs, cheated on his wife, and appeared on the cover of the nation's pre-eminent porn magazine.
And to top it off, Jerry Falwell Jr.-the heir of the Moral Majority mantle-just endorsed him.

So far, Trump's top foes have largely steered clear of attacking him based on his sexcapades and scandals. Even while he and Rubio lob birther-esque attacks at Ted Cruz for being born in Canada, Trump has evaded any hard-hitting criticism for his multiple marriages, casino ownership, and appearance on the cover of Playboy magazine.
A series of tweets from Sen. Ben Sasse, a freshman Republican from Nebraska, may suggest that the days of giving Trump a pass over his New York-values personal life are over.
"You brag abt many affairs w/ married women," the senator tweeted on Jan. 24, addressing Trump. "Have you repented? To harmed children & spouses? Do you think it matters?"
In The Art of the Deal, Trump boasted about bedding other men's wives.
"If I told the real stories of my experiences with women, often seemingly very happily married and important women, this book would be a guaranteed best-seller," he wrote.

There. Fixed it.
Diploma mill = Whitewater. Eyes glaze over at the mere mention.
Moderate conservatives will crawl over broken glass to vote against Hillary or Bernie no matter who the GOP nominee is, and so will almost all religious conservatives.
The few purist Christian voters Trump will lose he more than makes up for in blue collar, black and independent voters.
>> he was afraid of a girl <<
I’m not so sure that he’s actually “afraid” of her.
More likely, in my opinion, he had an old-fashioned crush on her, maybe an obsession, and she spurned his advances. Then love turned to hate.
Reminds me of the Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill imbroglio — only in reverse.
I think I just threw up a little....... :-(
Yeah Trump really liked Reagan....guess that it why he donated to Carter and Mondale......
People who like to think about other people’s sex lives may be violating Christ’s lesson that thinking about it is the same in God’s eyes as doing it. They think it doesn’t count if they present covetousness as moral outrage. So, let’s have a look in some of thoes glass houses... computer porn? Desperate Housewives on the tube? Children who are living in sin or dressing like tramps? Lying? Substance abuse? Trying to keep up with the Joneses?
"That's conveeeeenient."
As opposed to the brave keyboard warriors around here who slime the bravery of women to try to make a point, and end up garbling it into some sort of lesbian fantasy.
Get your mind out of the gutter, plz thx.
Agreed
You may be thinking of the Daily Caller.
The Daily Beast is Tina Brown's outfit and not conservative at all.
The Beast is very liberal
Founded by Tina Brown of Vanity Fair
Former internet arm of Newsweek
Owned by Barry Diller through a subsidiary
Proof enough?
Same Christians who no doubt have trouble with Kind David.
Yes, because we were so much better off with that Sunday School Teacher, Jimmy Carter. /s
“Baptists are not allowed to dance ... Looks too much like doing the wild thing!”
Actually, the truth is that Baptists aren’t allowed to make love standing up... because it might lead to dancing.
How do you make sure that a Baptist doesn't drink all your beer when you invite him on a fishing trip? Invite another Baptist.
“You mean like Reagan did with his last debate? Did he run away from a debate with his tail between his legs like a little girl?
Actually, Reagan DID boycott the last Iowa debate before the Caucus. It was too contentious. So there’s that.
Falwell’s reason for endorsing Trump is that he’s what America needs now in order to fix it. He said something like if you have a dying child, you’re going to be looking for the best doctor, not the best Sunday School teacher. He gave a good interview to Erin Burnett. I think this is the link:

“You may be thinking of the Daily Caller.”
Sigh. I was trying to be being sarcastic.
Yes he did. Folks are too quick to rip on Trump.
There’s no way I would have walked into that FoxNews trap.
He turned it into a positive. Enough said.

Newsweek and Daily Beast merged, that’s how they are connected, I had heard this.
