"I sent them the nastiest letter that I had ever written."<\p>

Good on you for that.

We live in a drafty old house and my wife and I usually leave the thermostat somewhere in the mid 60s to save money. We went from two people to five. My sister-in-law was sick for months with some serious medical issues. Our two nieces were used to Southern California winters where their dad was stationed. We had to turn the heat up, plus they were all using a lot of hot water, the lights, appliances and everything else. Of course our power usage went up. It is bazaar to get a "shaming" letter from someone or organization who doesn't have a clue about your situation. If my minister wants to shame me into doing something that is fine. That is his job. Outside of normal campaigning Ted Cruz should mind his own business.

I would have gone to the news media, told them your story, and showed them that outrageous letter from the morons at the power company.

Turn the tables and shame THEM.....in public.

“If my minister wants to shame me into doing something that is fine. ...”

Oh, you didn’t get the memo?
Ted Cruz is America’s self-ordained minister ...
In fact, he’s our “Anointed King” - just ask Glenn.
