The stress fractures within the Ted Cruz facade are beginning to reach the point where it’s no longer possible to keep them hidden. (Via CNN) […] as Cruz appears to be falling farther behind front-runner Donald Trump, his campaign is now looking in the rear-view mirror, concerned that Marco Rubio and the rest of the GOP field are closing in.

FWIW, and this came from a rabid anti-Trump, pro-Rubio blogger on Twitter, but someone posted that Ted’s internals were bad and he shifted his ads against Rubio instead of Trump.

If you’ve followed my posts you know that I’ve said for months that the #2 (Carson, Cruz) was going to get all sorts of GOPe good press and support UNTIL they thought they could bait and switch with Rubio.

I kept telling people that Rich Lowrey and the National Review types would puff up Cruz to stop Trump (fail) til he was no longer necessary (last night). Then they would pull the Rubio switch.

Question?

If there is no problem, and many sources now concur Trump is getting a wider lead. Then why is Rubio the target all of a sudden and not the Iowa leader Trump.

Usually you play to win and try to beat the leader Trump.

So Cruz is going for PLACE and is worried in my view about Rubio, and doesn’t want to end up SHOW

Don't know where you have been, but they have been on Trump from Day 1, and still are.

I think that is exactly what they have done, puff up Cruz and then discard him, after he failed to take Trump down. Enter Rubio. Rubio is entering earlier than planned because Trump damaged Cruz so much they decided to jump on the wounded Cruz.

I think Cruz will continue his slide, but I also think the GOPe will put the screws to him and pressure him to help the GOPe cause.Cruz will do exactly what the GOPe wants because he really burned his bridge with Trump.

Just as Nat Review is utterly insane about Trump, Sundance has his Ted Derangement Syndrome, but, no, I don’t think all is well in Tedworld. As I have been saying, when this campaign is done, other than Trump’s success, THE story will be how such a professional and well-oiled Cruz machine completely fell apart in only three weeks.

“The Bible had a few interesting things to say about wailing, lamentations, and gnashing of teeth.”

So did Hee Haw. (Gloom, despair, and agony on me. Deep dark depression, excessive misery.)

Cruz and Trump have it right, the Fox news people like Lowry, Kraut, Rove, O’reilly, Hume, Luntz, Wallace etc. have all kinds of stories about their shenanigans.

Last time it was the Dems that took down Cain, and stories in news that took down Nute.

This time its all on Fox’s head. Even when its Weekly Standard and National Review, they get all the Fox air time they need, its a big RINO conspiracy.

If the Cruz and Trump followers boycotted Fox, that is like 60 percent of the GOP voters, they could put the hurt on the Fox wallet.

Marco Rubio: "The truth is, Ted, throughout this campaign, you've been willing to say or do anything in order to get votes."

In at least one way, Rubio is wrong here. Ted has not been very aggressive at saying anything to get votes from people outside of his religious movement.

Doing my part. I don’t watch. My wife insists on “the Five” at dinner and I want to hurl my meatloaf at that snarky little twerp Guttfeld.

Trump can't use him for VP because of the birther thing. Like it or not, it is an issue the Dems will go after.

Its truly rich that Rubio chastises Cruz for changing position.

Rubio was Schumer’s sock puppet and the Amnety poster boy.

When the stuff hit the fan he was under a table with an umbrella trying not to get poop all over himself

They we heard from the I am Mr. Borders first Rubio. He let it slip “we want reform but don’t have the vote”.

Never will have the backing of the American people even American Hispanics, and African Americans don’t want Amnesty and so there is a big majority against the Gang of Eight.

We may need to look into incarceration into involuntary mental health clinics for the folks at ConservativeNutHouse.com over these repeated relapses into Cruz Derangement Syndrome. I wouldn’t trust these guys with their gun rights at this point.

They were one of the few that stood by our gun rights as the occupation elevated St. Trayvon Martin and supposed conservatives ran for cover.

You should check back into who the Conservative Treehouse is rather than throwing bombs at anything that troubles your echo chamber.
