"Limbaugh: Trump Unmasking "Not-Quite-So-Conservative" Conservative Media Types â "Their Agenda Is Now Exposed"
I heard him start in on this but won’t get to hear the whole show til tonight. Very interesting and accurate way of looking at this. For 10 years we’ve assumed Fox was “our” network, but just like the drive-bys, they have been steadily slipping to the left.
bump
Is he speaking of the gang at Fox, now pushing Rubio because of their boss, Murdoch? He should have been more specific, except that his friendship with Ailes and Kelly make it a little uncomfortable.
Most of us already knew they weren’t ALL conservative at Fox.
Can someone explain to me why the damn script on FR doesn’t accept copy and paste without these awful characters?
It’s so ridiculous.
He’s unmasking more than just the media. I see many self professed “conservatives” who were quick to cry “RINO” for things some of the candidates did decades ago, now accept very liberal things Trump did very recently.
No kidding, The Cheap Labor Express has more minions in The Ministry Of Propaganda than even I thought.
I think he’s also unmasked a very vocal subset of people who become totally irrational if you don’t fawn all over the guy who cries “I HAVE THE HOLY ARMOR OF JESUS” the loudest.
Best wishes to them. I’ll just be keeping Christ in my heart with quiet humility as I cast my vote for Trump, and hopefully I don’t get hit over the head with any Bibles on my way in and out of my polling place.
I will always listen to Rush but he could have been talking about himself.
I heard this today and it makes no sense. I feel Rush is flailing about, trying to figure out what to do and what to say. Even he does not understand any of this. He knows Trump is not conservative but he loves that he is pushing back like conservatives want the Repub party to do.
Strange election year. Who knows what is going to happen.
I strongly recommend a book by a friend, Tim Groseclose, “Left Turn.” Tim is a political scientist and he used acceptable political science methods to construct a “spectrum” of where the networks/outlets fall (with 50 being middle of the road, 60 conservative, 40 liberal).
Fox came in at a 46, and only two outlets came in over 50 (I forget one, but the other was McNeil Lehrer). His point was that Fox is in fact NOT conservative.
Is Limbaugh just figuring this out?
Conservative columnist and eleven-time New York Times best-selling author Ann Coulter is blasting Fox News:
“When it comes to immigration, Fox News is indistinguishable from George Soros,” the popular columnist wrote Thursday.
The “Rupert Murdoch enterprise,” Coulter writes, “is implacably pro-open borders, pro-amnesty and, consequently, anti-Trump.”
As Breitbart News has previously reported Rupert Murdoch, Fox News’ founder, is the co-chair of what is arguably one of the nation’s most powerful immigration lobbying firms, the Partnership for a New American Economy. Via his lobbying firm, Murdoch endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)
There’s a clue in there somewhere.....
Jeff Poor seems to be a poor writer.
When a clear leader arrives on the scene, everything changes. What conservative pundits fail to see (and I am a registered Conservative voter in NY) is that, if they succeed in bringing down Trump, they stand to lose the most and will be relegated to the back of the line for years to come.
Thanks for the post; link. Programming has many masks - many agendas, different degrees of amplification and many venues to deceive.
Into my 4th year not watching FOX. As self-deprogramming continued, things became more clear.
HOORAY Trump
HOORAY FReepers/researchers/educators/truth-seekers.
I think we’ve all known Fox was just a tad left of center. Nothing new there. The difference was that they at least had some conservative hosts and content and seemed much more fair than the extreme left-wing of NBC/CBS/CNN/ABC/MSNBC/NPR.
