Jeff Sessions has never really been accused of being the brightest person in the Senate, but if you are someone who values a strong fighter against illegal immigration, then Sessions has been a valuable fighter for your issues. Now, in spite of years of fighting alongside Ted Cruz, whose efforts to defeat amnesty Sessions has repeatedly praised, Sessions appears set to endorse Donald Trump.
This news comes after Trump has spent the last week turning his back on everything he stood for at the beginning of his campaign, specifically promising to cut deals with Pelosi and Schumer, and admitting that he really only plans to wall off âabout 1000â³ miles of the U.S. border since the other 1000 has natural barriers â in other words, the exact same amount of wall that is supposed to already exist under United States law.

SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESH !
A very sick AND active imagination !
Something sounds awfully familiar. Has this guy ever trolled FR and gotten dotted? What did he score on the Conservative Test, lol? What was his screen name, Danny L?
Zotted. I hate autocorrect.
Yes he is.
This is the same Leon Wolf who pressured National Reviewâs despicable Lowry to fire John Derbyshire for having written the truth about blacks in America, echoing the sentiments of several leftists at the time. Iâm sure his old archive still contains the relevant articles.
Yes Sessions is an honorable man. I’m proud to have him as my senator.
Sessions as VP - fantastic!
Let me tell you—I have called his staff in DC when he is on different committees that are voting on things, and they are the nicest people . Always respectful.
He fixed the NYC rink on time and under budget, after the city government spent millions and accomplished nothing.
He knows how to negotiate to get his way, he knows how to use the media and will no doubt express concerns about people that are in the way.
We’re not talking about a typical politician who gets paid to talk, but doing nothing. Trump doesn’t operate that way.
Wouldn’t an endorsement from Sessions be awesome!
Great visual, Doughty. Love it.
“How again does he get that wall built again?”
By Executive Order. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
Yes, no doubt, on the GOPe/CLE payroll.
I encourage you to come right in back to these boards 7 years from now and say gee you were so right. Israel is far different from the US. We have something called the courts. Mark my words as bad as we all want it that wall does not go up and everything Trump is harping to garner a populous movement dies when Congress sits on not passing a budget to fund it.
But sometimes pipe dreams do come true
And I pray you are right. The last hurdle which the demonrats rely on is a legislative court who once a challenge hits their desks I have no doubt will block.
I have no faith in what is occurring
Yes question, you truly think the courts are going to let this fly. Do you realize how many years this thing will be completely locked in the judiciary? Trust me the libs when they cannot win through the legislature default to the courts.
History tells us libs win in the courts
I will seek out that article. Thanks Jim!
I’m praying too! :-)
Trump is the first thing that has given me some hope in years. I don’t know how it’ll all shake out, but I know we’ve got a better shot with him than we do with any of the others of making some serious changes. He has the balls to fight battles to get what he wants.
I know he’s not a conservative, but I don’t see him as ideological at all, so I find that less threatening. Especially when one considers that Marco Rubio was a conservative when he ran for office. Jeb Bush, Bill Kristol, Paul Ryan, and John McCain will all tell you that THEY are conservatives. We elected supposed conservatives to run the house and senate. What does it even mean anymore? I know what it means to me, but what does the label mean when someone else wears it? I have to wonder sometimes.
I don’t pretend I’ll like everything Trump wants to do, but if he does what he’s talking about with immigration, taxes, and trade deals, he will have implemented the most conservative change this nation has seen since Calvin Coolidge.
Just my rambling thoughts... :-)
Just some thoughts:
I wonder if Trump will scale down the EPA and use Congress to eliminate regulations that would impede a wall construction?
As far as those who live along the border, there will be little resistance to the Wall. They are major supporters of a wall.
You have to bring a lawsuit if you have standing. Trump knows the game through his construction experience.
I am moving on to follow the Iowa news.
Take care Jarhead FRiend.
