At a campaign event on Friday in Nashua, NH, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said his opponent Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)"got pummeled" at last night's Fox News GOP presidential debate.
Trump did not attend the presidential debate, which has been attributed to his ongoing feud with FNC's "The Kelly File" host Megyn Kelly, one of the moderators of the debate.
Trump said, "We have a big day coming up. We have a number one, we have February 1, I think we're going to do really well in Iowa. We're leading in the Iowa polls now and leading pretty good. And Cruz is in second place. He got really pummeled last night. Actually, I'm glad I wasn't there. He got pummeled. Wow. And you know, they didn't even mention that he was born in Canada. Right? You know, when you're born in Canada, you're not supposed to be running for president of the United States. Prime minister of Canada, no problem. He can run for Canada. There he is. He can run prime minister of Canada, no problem."
"So he got beaten up pretty badly last night," he continued. "I don't know what's going to happen to his poll numbers, but probably they're not going up. I was told ours went up because of what he did last night. Isn't that something? You know, it tells you a little bit about risk. Risk is interesting. In theory, I would have rather done the debate. You're leading. You don't want to change the wheels, right? You want to just go, get it done, win and go to the next one, and I took a chance. I mean, I took a chance, and it's something you have to do. I took a chance and we did something."

Would be a good idea. Even the Boy Scouts would be better than what we have now.
looks like Trump saw some good overnight internals
I think so too!
“Actually I think he handled the debate well. He met with his attackers after the debate and was very gracious to them. He was, in a word, presidential. Trump, OTOH, handles criticism like a two year old child, throwing temper tantrums and calling people names.
A president must be first and foremost a diplomat.
Trump does not have a diplomatic bone in his body. He is a megalomanic, narcissistic demagogue. And those are his finer qualities. “
It doesn’t matter how he “handled it” - he got beat up. The fact he was still able to walk afterwards doesn’t negate that.
As for your stream of anti-Trump blather - stuff it.
Cruz is, and has always been, the stalking horse for Rubio. All the laudatory articles about him in November and early December-—right after, you’ll note, Carson crashed after a spate of good press about him-—began to go away when he started trailing Trump.
Cruz is the threat to Rubio. He was never a threat to Trump. Sundance on Conservative Treehouse has had this pegged from the beginning: “Make Cruz into Gingrich, Carson into Cain,” and they can move Rubio in.
But I think he is tainted by the Gang of 8 deal and not viable. Whatever happens it will be interesting.
I truly don’t think Drudge would invite Teddy to debate until his Canadian status is resolved
>>> RNC should cancel all network moderated debates, run their own and pocket the ad money
Except you fail to appreciate that the RNC is in bed with the very same media, the democrats, the globalists, etc. It’s orchestrated for our “amusement.” Bread and circuses, get it?
“Big tough Donnie cut and run from the big mean FOX woman.”
Interesting that you support the commie rat Megyn and the liberal scum on FOX. Were you thrilled that the leftist FOX network brought on board a Muslim Nazi as a moderator?
Sure make a lot of assumptions, don’t you?
“Sure make a lot of assumptions, donât you?”
As do you, little rabbit.
Cruz actually Crushed it last night.
Trump heard? From whom?
I agree. Outside a few missteps on comedic timing, he was great.
Rubio???? Geeez he looked two breaths away from being a hyperventilation patient the entire debate.
I have never seen such a collaborative collusion of punditry in my life.
The fix was in before the debate ever started.
Notice the pundits missed that one too.
Anyone who would support or defend that NY liberal has to be making a lot of assumption unless they are liberals who like his pro-abortion, pro-Democrat contributions, pro-gun control, pro-amnesty, pro-eminent domain, pro-ethanol, pro-Clinton, pro-Obama, pro-deBlasio, back-stabbing, and crudeness.
