The most patriotic thing you can do at home is fly the American flag outside.
Countless men and women have joined the US military and lost their lives to defend the principles that flag stands for. The American flag stands for the freedom and the liberty endorsed by our Founding Fathers.
People should be allowed to fly it ANYWHERE!
But in a neighborhood near Houston, Texas, this man (below) was told by his landlord at Lodge on El Dorado that the American flag had to be removed? Why?
Because it might be offensive to practicing Muslims.
He told a local TV news reporter that the flag "isn't a threat to anyone." And his response is going VIRAL!
He said, "I'm gonna leave my flag there, as an American, until she shows me proof that I don t have the right to leave my flag there."
Many patriots are contacting this apartment building's management and expressing their displeasure with their flag ban!
Should American be allowed to fly the flag anywhere they want? Please leave us a comment (below) and tell us what you think!

There should absolutely be a law that every anyone can fly the American flag when on U.S. soil. I challenge every politician in D.C. and every political candidate to propose this measure as a the most basic right of every American.
Throw out your Koran, and I'll think about it.
The solution is simple really. If Muslims are so offended by our culture; send them packing back to their sandbox.
Problem solved.

You go, boy. Just remember that no muslim was named in this article. The landlord wants the flag down because he THINKS a muslim might be offended. This is the face of dhimmitude, and when push comes to sharia, guys like the landlord will sell you down the river in a minute.
What if he flew the Confederate battle flag?
I’m sorry, I live in Texas and I see hundreds of US and Texas flags fly everyday both homeowners and businesses.
Wow, if a Muzzie is offended by an American flag around here, if an American flag can offend them it’s no wonder they go crazy.
I see many homeowners hang flags and wonder if an apartment renter hangs a flag from their deck don’t they theoretically have right since it’s property they somewhat temporarily posses.
But having said that does then an apartment dweller then have the right to wave a naked portrait of Melanie Trump once she becomes the (ahem) First Lady.
Hell, this guy has every right to fly the flag BECAUSE it is offensive to muslims.
I would imagine pretty much every apartment complex would tell a person they have to remove a confederate flag since BLM movement. Happened to a friend of mine. He can still fly the US Flag like in the story above though.

Nonsense. This is a First Amendment issue. The man is renting property. He has the absolute right to speak on that property.

OK, here’s a dumb question with a followup:
Is the landlord a Muslim, and does he know of a Muslim who is offended by our flag?
I get it BTW that the owner of the apartment complex can set certain rules since it is private property, but this is a rotten reason to tell someone to take down the flag.
OTOH, “If I let you display the U.S. flag then everyone else can display theirs, and then what will this place look like? Nothing against our flag, I just have to be consistent.”
That at least would make some sense.
The proper response would be to ask the landlord if flying a Muslim flag would be ok, and if he would be willing to demand that a muslim tennant remove theirs if it wasn’t ok.
Landlord property rights to control appearance is one thing.
Discrimination is another.
That’s funny, I live down here. If that happened it would look like outside the UN. Every central and south American would have flags out.
