Nice pic. Every time I take someone to Cape Canaveral(I never use the name Kennedy except in ridicule) they and I are in awe of the Saturn V rocket. Absolutey and astounding are but two of the adjectives used in a futile attempt to describe it. Wish I could have seen one launch.

A guide once told us the different distances from the rocket where either heat, vibration or sound would be fatal. Wish I could remember them.

They don’t make em’ like they used to- and that’s a darn shame.

My ex wife (the woman whose name shall never be spoken) had a cousin go to Navy ROTC, at the U. of IL. Damn if he didn’t turn to be a sh!t hot pilot. Flew F-14’s in the movie Top Gun. His actual mil. call sign was Papa Bear. he went on to pilot a few shuttle flights! Not too shabby for a kid from Pekin, IL. CPT. Scott Altman. SALUTE!
