The GOP also nominated some of the worst candidates in recent memory in those elections.
As he defies his own party on tax orthodoxy, on healthcare
It looks like Trump supporters will be the last to know.
May it rest in agony.
Haha!
Well, personal philosophies are created from attractive movements, not the other way around.
Hmmmm, back in the day, these sorts of remarks are pretty much the same thing they were saying about Ronald Reagan! With one huge exception, however, they did not call him a blow-dried celebrity. They called him a celebrity who dyed his hair.
Thanks for the tip, he comes on at 5 Central in Dallas.
Exactly.
His goal is a hostile takeover using people indifferent to his recent Liberal positions, people more angry than skeptical of him. It’s a sound strategy.
GOP has diminished themselves. Trump has done nothing but run a SUPERIOR campaign.
I remember during the Clinton years the IRS was audited. Billions was unaccounted for. I have not heard of them being audited since. Someone tell me I am wrong. Please.
Superb post above.
We have been losing, and losing, and losing again.
Putting up "friendly" candidates like Mitt Romney or "old schoolers" like John McCain or Bob Dole...has yielded us a big, fat, N-O-T-H-I-N-G.
Conservatives needed a whole new and fresh approach.
Somebody needs to put it out of its misery...and soon.
The way I see it, there are two parties, The Snowflake Party, which is essentially Communist, and wants to control everything we say and do, or the Crony Party, which isn’t totalitarian, but is most concerned with maintaining Big Government, and making sure that their friends get the Big Contracts.
We’ve been voting Crony, to avoid the leftist nonsense that the other side promotes. Trump represents the hope of something better, a redefinition of “Republican” as something other than a source of no-bid contracts.
The GOPe is what Trump is after.
They will be know as the GOP democrates
I agree with you, the ‘experts’ who wrote there don’t get it at all. I quit reading after 5 or 6.
Life is too short to throw it away by reading more.
How is that a redefinition? Whatever politicians campaign on, if they win they run a government and have to run it in ways voters approve of. Whatever the expressed ideology there are limits to what politicians deliver.
Trump won't kill the Establishment, and neither will Cruz. They'll change the Establishment. Then the conditions that created the Establishment will change them. And then people will wonder what they whole anti-Establishment thing was all about.
Trump won't kill conservatism either. No more than Nixon or Bush 41 did.
Trump could be the secular and Republican version of William Jennings Bryan.
They are already known as DEMS!!!! So what is your point???
Also pitiful congressional candidates for many decades
